Always know what students need and what's their priority. This means a tutor need to show respect to students. They need to know very well about the students and are wise and knowledgable enough to give good advice and make sure students love listening to the advice. I love to solve questions. If I could make complicated things into easy ones, I'd…

I consider that a tutor should be a good teacher but also a good person. He should be able to communicate and transmit his passion to give the desire to learn. (I am a native french so I can also teach french). Firstly I would say that my experience is my biggest strength, my computer science school allows me a lot of flexibility so I am available…

I believe that a tutor should be able to build relationships with a student where the students are provided with an environment where they are heard and observed. I think this allows tutors to strategize methods in helping students progress, learn and succeed. This must be done with patience, constant assessment of student's progress, and…

I think that a tutor should not limit themselves to just subject knowledge. They should research more on effective teaching methods and strategies that might help them connect to their students more. They should develop practices that make a student's life easier and should understand the individual needs of the students. Often tutors have to…

The most important thing a tutor can do is focus on the specific needs of the student, identify areas of weakness, and tailor the teaching approach accordingly. Students may have gaps in their understanding due to missed classes, inadequate explanations, or other reasons. A tutor can identify these gaps and help bridge them by revisiting…

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to get a proper understanding of the level of mathematical 'maturity' of a specific student, rather than just assuming a certain background knowledge. Once this is established, it's possible to get the core of what exactly a student is struggling with (usually a particular fundamental concept) and…

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to make them want to study a topic, to present a topic in a certain way that makes the student more enthusiastic to learn. Although understanding a subject is extremely important, I believe the students' willingness to learn is equally important as trying to teach a student to…

Students need to realize that learning is not only limited in the classroom. Lecturing and tutoring not only help the students to understand the knowledge and achieve the academic purpose, but also guide them to construct the way of thinking. I use my prior knowledge to guide the lessons and prepare, ensuing students build upon their knowledge and…

I believe that teaching to student's strength and minimising their weaknesses can play a huge role in shaping a child's life. Moreover, being flexible, patient and a good listener can help build a strong, personal relation with the student which will help them to work towards their goal. Something that sets me apart from many other tutors is that I’m very relatable, something which I think is very important to a student. Know your stuff. Always. As simple as it might sound, really bringing your students a reliable foundation of knowledge on the subject is always crucial. It doesn't mean that you ALWAYS have to know your stuff though, we are human, and human can sometimes afford not to know it all. This is when I would go on, do my research, and make sure the next…

Local Reviews

Ezy math tutoring I recommend to anyone looking to get their child or teen help with their maths. My daughter who is 9 was having a lot of trouble understanding maths. Her tutor Mohammad was fantastic got her understanding in a very short time in a way where I was not able to. She is now doing a lot better at maths at school and has made obvious improvements. Thankyou soo much

Inside AuldanaTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Alyssia explored titrations in chemistry, including using the n = CV formula and adjusting equations for different scenarios.

Year 10 Sam focused on coordinate geometry, graphing points in all four quadrants and determining if given points lie on specific lines by plotting them.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 student worked through polynomial skills—identifying leading coefficients and degrees of polynomials as well as equating coefficients to solve related questions.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student relied heavily on reviewing previous answers when approaching new algebra questions—"she prefers to look at what she's already done rather than try and push herself"—which made it harder for her to adapt to unfamiliar problems.

In Year 10 Chemistry, a student hesitated to attempt the written discussion portion of an assignment, avoiding open-ended tasks until guided step-by-step.

Meanwhile, a Year 12 student sometimes lost focus during sessions and struggled to set clear priorities for revision; this led to scattered attention and missed opportunities for deeper test preparation.

The lack of independent practice in challenging scenarios left gaps unaddressed before assessments.

Recent Achievements

One Auldana tutor noticed a big shift in Alyssia's independence with titration equations—after struggling to manage mixed molar ratios, she finished several of these questions on her own by the end of their session.

Alessandro, a high school student, arrived prepared with specific questions and guided his own learning; he now pinpoints what he needs help with instead of waiting for prompts.

In Year 7 maths, Lucy moved from relying on examples to working through new statistics problems herself after being shown once, and even chose to try similar questions without asking for hints.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Shivani is doing well and Elyza is fantastic! Shivani appears to be very comfortable around Elyza and is building her confidence.

The tutoring seems to be going very well so far. We have been working on the areas Mohamed has indicated Charlotte needs extra help with and his report was very helpful in this regard.

Leon has made some extreme improvement over this Term. In the last 3 weeks he has achieved 5th and 2nd!!! in the class mathematics tests. This has improved his confidence immensely and he shows more enthusiasm in his tutoring sessions. Very happy with Jordan.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Campbelltown Public Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Magill School.
