In my opinion, the most important thing a tutor can do for students is making sure that the student completely understands the concept and does not try to rote learn it. I believe that a tutor is a person who can change the point of view of a student through which they can grasp the concept well and improves their understanding ability. I own…
I consider that a tutor should be a good teacher but also a good person. He should be able to communicate and transmit his passion to give the desire to learn. Tutors are expected to bolster student grades however this is not their true purpose, A tutor should help to develop students to not only achieve greater marks but also to have a greater understanding of the field they are being tutored in. The most important this that a tutor can do for a student, is to keep in mind that tutoring is not the same as giving a lecture. That needs to be reflected in the adaptation of the tutoring session to the individual student.
This can be done by lowering or raising the level if needed, speeding up or slowing down, and providing precise feedback…
I think a tutor can teach a student how to learn a topic after it is explained by the tutor. Because at the end, it is the student who needs to learn by themselves after something is being taught to them. A tutor should make sure that anyone can learn those topics on their own if they are introduced by the tutor. My first strength as a tutor is my…
I firmly believe that a tutor should not only share knowledge but also inspire a love for learning. Building a strong mentor-student relationship is crucial, nurturing an environment where questions are encouraged, and challenges are viewed as opportunities for growth.
Also, tailoring teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, and…
I think the best tutor is one who guides the students properly and fairly not only in their academics but also about life challenges. Most importantly a tutor should be ready to explain a single concept even 10 times to students if they are not able to get that without getting annoyed Well , I'm quite patient which I think is my biggest strength…

Give the student the tools needed for the problem, not the answer. This gives the student the satisfaction of finding the solution themselves, as well as building their confidence to go further. The ability to explain complex problems, break them down into small steps for the student to go through, as well as link the smaller steps so that the…

I believe firstly, students should not be pressured to do any task instead a tutor should make the task joyful and interesting for the student in such a way that they enjoy they are doing in every aspect. Secondly, I think creating a safe environment for kids so that they can easily come to us regarding any query in their studies should be…
Teaching a methodology in such a way that the student only has to follow the steps to solve a problem.
Understand the body language and some sounds that students do when they understand something or when they do not understand. It is possible that students do not tell me but I can realize that. I think it is important to be organized because the…
In school, teachers deliver lessons on a general teaching strategy, whereas the context and mindset of all the students are diverse. A tutor helps students to improve their learning by contextualizing their learning based on their learning needs, aligning with learning difficulties, and provide constant help and boosting up their confidence in…
I think tutors need to make/ help students feel comfortable and less stressful with their studies in school. Talking to the students and identify their strengths and weaknesses, and hence support them to improve and reach their fullest potential. I always try to adapt my teaching to the students. I never want to be fixed with one way of teaching…
For a tutor it is of upmost importance that he/she dilutes the subject not as per his/her individual preferences but in accordance with the strengths and weaknesses of this disciples. we see a lot of intellectuals becoming teachers, they might be great in their subjects when it comes to knowledge, but they approach the subject as they want to…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student include establishing rapport, identifying individual learning needs, providing clear explanations, and fostering independent thinking. The most important thing in teaching any subject is showing the big picture along with the nitty-gritty. I hope that my student can see the beauty in the sometimes boring schoolwork, and see the deep underlying connection and unity of it all. However, sometimes desperate times happen, and then we must drop the profound thoughts and do what needs…
Know your stuff. Always. As simple as it might sound, really bringing your students a reliable foundation of knowledge on the subject is always crucial. It doesn't mean that you ALWAYS have to know your stuff though, we are human, and human can sometimes afford not to know it all. This is when I would go on, do my research, and make sure the next…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is an ability to relate to students and to make them feel comfortable, enticing them to learn. I also consider a great tutor to be someone who builds a good rapport with their students and ensures a warm and friendly learning environment. Helping students develop self-confidence and improve study skills while also making them feel good about their accomplishments is also significant. In addition, I believe it is very important to be…
Tutoring seems to be going well. I think both Matthew and Abbey are starting to settle into a routine. Abbey has started to apply some of the methods Matthew has shown her to school work. She has come home from school a couple of times now, saying she was asked a question during maths time and got it right. Which, of course, she was very happy about! Within the next few weeks, I will receive Abbey's report for semester 1. I will show Matt, so he has even more understanding of her needs. I'm looking forward to seeing what they achieve in the coming months.
Georgia and myself are very happy with our tutor, Jess. They have a good rapport together and Georgia improved in confidence and Maths already.
Richard is a really lovely young man. He is very patient and good at explaining concepts. He is working really well with Annah and I think even in the 3 weeks we have had so far her understanding and confidence is growing.
