Make the student feel comfortable enough to be open in saying "I didn't get that part" or "that didn't make sense". Only once they're comfortable with you can you truly help them. I think my patience, tenacity, and positivity are my main strengths as a…
My mindset when it comes to learning isn’t about knowing facts, it’s about knowing the facts about how you come to know the facts. I don’t want students to come out of tutoring with just knowledge about HSC subjects, the focus should always be on skills that will carry on into the future.
To a certain extent your role as a tutor is to teach…

The most important thing as a tutor is to ensure that you are working at the pace of the student and communicating with them thoroughly so that you can ensure that you are teaching to the students needs. I believe tutors should care about their students personal development; not just about getting good grades. It is important to notice all progress, small and large alike, as every student is different, and encourage them to grow every step of the way. I am communicative and am able to explain things in a way that is easy to understand. I have…
I think that tutors need to be supportive of their students, which can only be achieved by creating trust with them. By getting to know students, their goals, their strengths and weaknesses, as well as their personalities and work styles, a tutor should aim to know a student so that the student is able to receive support from someone they know and…

My strengths as a tutor are resilience and communication because…
The most important thing would be to make the lessons engaging and fun so the student doesn't feel forced to be there and is able to enjoy working on the subject and gain pleasure out of it. As a student I found that I did worse in subjects that weren't as engaging so I wanna make sure that my students are engages I would say my biggest strength…

Patience and determination, I believe those are the key ingredients in ensuring a student can reach the best of their capabilities in learning. Having the ability to ensure that your student can understand the lessons through techniques that you use to cater to their learning style is also vital. Back when I was in High School, there were…
A tutor must act as a mentor for the student to grow in their goals. When I was tutoring primary students I found that their teacher would often just provide them with answers and ask them to memorise it rather than lead them to reach the answers themselves. I disagree with this mentality, finding that the most important aspect of tutoring is…
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide guidance and navigate them through the complex aspects of learning. It\'s crucial for me to not only impart knowledge but also to help students understand challenging concepts. This involves breaking down complex topics into manageable pieces, offering clear explanations, and…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is be there for them and assist them with whatever they require, give them the time and patience to understand each and everything they wish to learn. A tutor's role is to assist the student with any troubles they have with their study. We are here to support them and provide them with a deeper understanding of the subject they're learning. Having sat the HSC and completed high school, I know what it feels like to struggle with concepts we must study to pass the subject. I offer experience that…
I believe one of the most important thing a tutor can do is helping the students to understand the concept rather than just knowing how to solve the problem. For instance, while memorising a formula and applying it to the problem is good, understanding the derivation and the concept thoroughly will help them to retain the information and adapt to…
I would love to offer some feedback on Derek.
I discussed this response with Jaidan last night and he requested that I let you know that he thinks Derek is AWESOME.
From my observations,Derek quickly created a great rapport with Jaidan which is important for effective communication.
I have queried Jaidan after each session and feel that he is benefitting greatly from Derek's input.
He is feeling more confident and very comfortable to source support from Derek. I could not ask for more at this stage so thank you and more importantly please thank Derek on my behalf.
For now, we won't be continuing but we haven't ruled it out for the future. We were very happy with your service and Jade is a beautiful person! She has helped Keegan with her confidence in Maths and helped improve her grade this year. We postponed tutoring at the end of term 1 because Jade had covered as much as she could before introducing new work, which we didn't want to do until it came up in school. Therefore, we had a break to see how Keegan went, and she's had no problems thus far.
If any problems pop up this term, I plan to get in contact with you and Jade ASAP!
Aiden is really happy with Faraz. He felt a bit awkward the first week but the interactions were much better the second week. Aiden finds it very useful because he needs guided revision (it's not necessarily about learning the content). Definitely a good investment!
