The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is give them the tools as well as the confidence they need to excel in their subject and eventually be able to independently tackle problems on their own. -I am friendly and since I am young I can relate to teenagers
-Well versed in maths and English
-I'm enthusiastic and a great motivator…
The most important thing a tutor or any teacher can do, I think, would be to instill confidence in the students own ability to do deal with the task given, whatever that task may entail. I think the way I explain and teach is very beneficial specifically in a one on one setting. I've always found it harder to teach to many people because not…
I believe the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student, is to be patient and as encouraging to a student as possible. Being able to explain in simple ways the method of calculations, good communication skills, and being able to determine the root of the…
To help them work through their difficulties, at their level so they understand fully how to do something in the future and are able to help others with the same problem. Strengths:
- good at working with others,
- if I don't know something I will always find out or ask for help,
- confident and knowledgeable,
- hardworking,
- very hands on both…
To be able to explain the same topic in different ways that will best suit that particular student as well as making sure that by the end of the session they have understood the material and are able to answer at least a few questions on it. I am very patient with students and I can explain the same concept in different ways if required so that…
In my eyes, one of the most important aspects of a tutor would be the ability to see things through the student's perspective. Being able to pinpoint exactly what the student needs help with can make the entire learning experience more efficient and a lot more rewarding overall. It also makes the student feel a lot more comfortable, as a learning…
To ensure the student receives the necessary attention, time and guidance to achieve their potential, e.g if one program doesn't work, being able to quickly adapt to a different approach to meet the children requirements and potential should be considered quickly and implemented time effectively Attention to detail, developing strong/committing…
The most important thing I feel is to instill confidence in the student. A confident mindset to problem solving in any discipline is as important as the knowledge. A lack of confidence will not lead to problem solving and outside the box thinking, so combining core knowledge with confidence in themselves is important. I feel that I can communicate…
Actively listening to the student and what they want to achieve.
Being empathetic to the student and if a particular strategy isn't working, then tackling it from a different angle until together the tutor and student find what works best for the student and their style of learning. I am intuitive, empathetic and an excellent listener. I myself…
Assist the students in sections that they struggle in and teach them new concepts in ways that they can enjoy it. I am able to help children learn concepts in ways that are suitable for…
Being patient with the student, having a kind nature and allowing the student to ask questions. Also establishing a safe space where the student feels comfortable enough to ask questions about their learning and set goals for their studies. My strength would be scaffolding the learning for students and breaking down questions into small steps to…
I think the most important thing is not just giving a student a surface level understanding of how to solve a problem. If you help them understand the core fundamentals, maths becomes so much easier.
Another key thing is giving each student a tailored experience to their level. We don't want to overwhelm them. I am very good at breaking down…
Being approachable and taking care and effort to understand the students and their weaknesses and strengths and building off of that. Caring about students is definitely a big strength, it is very important to me that my students succeed. I am also very organised and motivated so making plans and going above and beyond minimum expectations is…
Help kids and teenagers become independent in learning their work and problems with chosen subjects. Have kids confident to go into tests and upload assessments with no worries about their abilities. I am outgoing, understanding, kind, and patient when it comes to helping kids. I volunteered with Girl Guides for years as a junior leader…
Overall, the goal is to facilitate the student to be able to meet their potential. I also think it's crucial for students to fully comprehend a topic in order to confidently answer unorthodox questions that may come up in an exam to stump students. I explain things in a concise manner and I explain at a moderate speed to allow people to comprehend…
Tailoring lessons to the student's unique learning style and needs is crucial. Every student is different, and adapting to their strengths and weaknesses helps them excel. A tutor should simplify complex ideas and break them down into understandable parts. Clear explanations and practical examples can help students grasp difficult subjects. I…
I the the most important thing a tutor can do for their student is make their lessons fun and engaging. If we are being completely honest, most kids don't like math, so creating a lesson plan where it's not just learning, but enjoying the learning process will encourage the child to continue putting effort into math.
I believe it is also just…
Understand the student's goals. Put themselves in the student's position and understand their abilities, then tailor the methods/techniques accordingly. Hopefully encourage an interest in the subject so that they want to learn more. I am highly articulate when explaining my thought processes. I like to break things down into smaller, more easily…
Again, if you can relate to your students you will have an easier time understanding what problems they're having, and adapting your style. This along with open communication and non-judgement. Being empathetic with students struggles. Trying to figure out the students learning style and tailor my teaching to…
A student may have several factors which obtrude in their academic progress: be it a lack of motivation, confidence, understanding, time, support, etc. An ideal tutor will exemplify virtues in all these areas, and offer insight to a student to shore up any component they may be lacking. I would suggest that there is no singularly important…
Always be available to listen to any questions/problems that the student may have. As well as always making sure they completely understand something before they move on. Also, making the student trust you so they feel they can talk to you about any question no matter how stupid they think it is. I feel I can 'dumb' things down well, if someone is…
we are very pleased with the tutoring sessions Mario is providing. His tutoring has made a significant improvement to our daughters maths grades and has helped to increase our daughter's confidence with maths which she struggled with previously. He is also very patient, polite and punctual.
Definitely i would say that Lamia is a great Tutor and is tutoring Krintel really well, she is quite comfortable with Lamia and is surely getting support from her which she has been waiting for.
Thanks once again for introducing Lamia to us.
So far so good. The kids are actually enjoying their time with Agnes so that's s good sign. Jaren came out of last weeks tutorial session saying "well you learn something new everyday".
It just gives them more confidence with mathematical concepts, I think they're getting something out of it.
Thank you.
