Business Studies Tutor Naremburn, NSW
The most important things a tutor can do for a student are to provide clear explanations, foster confidence, and encourage independent thinking. A tutor should break down difficult concepts in a way that matches the student's learning style while also guiding them to think critically rather than just memorizing answers. Patience and encouragement…

Ensure the students understand the main concepts. Also provide different learning method for different students is also very important, as each student may learn more efficiently in different ways. I have a positive personality and I prefer to leave my explanation simple. It would therefore benefit students as it will be easier for them to…

Having been tutored by several people over my high school career, I consider the most important thing a tutor can do for students are enabling them to reach their full potential. As well as providing them to with opportunities and equipment to succeed in learning, through encouraging them, guiding them to the answer rather than give it to them and…

I think the most important thing a tutor can provide a student is to cater personalised teaching for all the students since everyone learns differently. This way, the tutoring will become effective and help the students to actually achieve their academic goals. My strength as a tutor is definitely my patience. It can be hard to understand…

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is be adaptable and understanding to each student. This makes sure that the student feels comfortable with the tutor and is able to improve and progress with their studies. I am very patient and understanding when a student is struggling to grasp a concept. I am also good at finding multiple or…

I believe the most important thing is contributing to a positive and engaging environment for the student whilst simultaneously improving assessment or examination marks. This allows the student too actively and voluntarily complete work and studies that benefits them, to ultimately respond better in testing situations or assessments. My strengths…

It is through these attributes that a student can truly benefit from the teachings and have a willingness to learn and understand the concepts taught by the tutor. Give them time and space. I believe these two aspects are the most important thing we can give students but understanding how to manage these two factors as a tutor we give the private space for them to develop as well as provide them with help when they require us. I am very patient and outgoing, therefore it is easy for students to ask me…

A tutor should be able to explain concepts in a manner which allows students to understand the concepts and apply it elsewhere. A tutor should assist students in understanding concepts on a deeper level, rather than just rote learning. Furthermore, a tutor should be passionate in what they teach. A good tutor can raise interest of the student. Once the student feel interested in the subject, then he/she will be keen on learning new things. In addition, tutoring is more than teaching, and students are more engaged and proactive. I have strong interest in maths and I have my degree in commerce, this would be helpful for students who wanna…

I think for a tutor a combination of two things is the best, firstly giving the students confidence as I found that my tutor gave my confidence in my abilities that I previously had not experienced in some subjects which eventually led to my success. Also providing the best ability to teach and foster improvements in knowledge and skills to…

Inside SeaforthTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Lilly focused on improving her recall and speed with times tables, especially the 4s and 12s, using interactive games and practical strategies.

In Year 9, Amelie worked through simplifying, multiplying, dividing, and rationalising surds, as well as applying volume formulas to compound shapes—sometimes drawing diagrams to visualise problems.

Meanwhile, Jerry in Year 8 tackled linear relationships by practising how to find the equation of a straight line from a table of values and reviewing homework on converting between percentages, decimals, and fractions.

Recent Challenges

In Year 8 Mathematics, one student consistently lost marks in exams by not showing full working for algebra and geometry questions—"he lost a lot of marks in his exam as he did not show his working out," a tutor noted.

In another instance, a senior Physics student's written layout was flagged: "We will continue to practice good setting out so it becomes a habit."

For HSC-level Maths, one learner repeatedly forgot to bring essential materials like notes, worksheets, or calculators to lessons, which limited hands-on revision and practice. These patterns often left students retracing steps or missing feedback opportunities during crucial assessments.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Seaforth noticed that Jaida, a Year 11 student, has started questioning the strategies behind tricky exam problems instead of just following steps—showing she now understands not just how but why solutions work.

Jerry, in Year 8, recently shifted from rushing through algebra to carefully setting out his working and double-checking each answer, a big change from his earlier mistakes due to skipped steps.

Meanwhile, Clara (Year 12) has begun tackling past exam papers independently and now talks through her approach aloud when stuck, rather than quietly giving up or waiting for answers.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Ezy Math is one of the most professional tutoring agencies I have worked for. The time and effort it put into it's tutors and the feedback they provide to students and their families is to be admired. Tutoring is a very rewarding experience. Being able to see those precious 'Ahh'Âť moments daily is a gift.

Thanks so much for the follow up!! Daniel is fantastic and Tom is really enjoying his time with him!! He said he understood more after 2 hours than his first semester of Chemistry!! Really happy and so is Tom!

Tanmoy is fantastic. Delaney is connecting with his teaching technique. Although it is early stage we are very glad Tanmoy is available to help Delaney.

Local Spots for Tutoring
