Recent Challenges

In Year 9, a student tackling algebra often disengaged when unsure how to start a problem—"if he doesn't know it straight away, he tends to give up," as one tutor observed. This led to unfinished questions and missed opportunities for practice.

Meanwhile, in Year 4 maths, another student would skip over times tables she didn't instantly recall rather than using alternative strategies or working them out.
