The ability to understand a student and their learning style is something I highly value in a tutor. The most important thing in tutoring in my opinion is to understand your audiences and customise your approach based on that. in order to be an effective tutor, someone needs to connect to their students. As a tutor I believe the most important things that I could do for a student is to be there for them when they need help, clearing the doubts they have for better understanding and help them to understand a type of problem so they can solve different problems of the same type. Joshua is happy with the tutoring he is receiving from Nicholas and is confident that it will help him with his exams.
But can I just say how lovely she is and in particular Aidan is feeling very comfortable with her to the point he's happy to have her come during the school holidays!! He's normally a little reserved and can sometimes take a while to warm up but they seem to have clicked really well and he doesn't appear intimidated like he can do at times.
All going well so far. We feel confident that it will help with Emily's confidence.
