Tutor is a guidance and the support. A right tutor can shape the future of the student.
As the Chinese proverb goes: "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for lifetime".
Hence I would say tutor plays a very important role in shaping the education and career of the student by teaching him/her the right…
The role of a tutor is not to solve problems for the student, but rather, their role is to equip the student with the necessary tools for them to solve problems independently. I believe i am approachable and adaptable. This is an important trait for a tutor as no two students are the same. I can adapt to fit the needs of the student in order for…
I place high importance on uncovering the strengths of the student and using them to develop a learning strategy which maximises their learning potential. I also consider rapport building and connecting the subject matter with the interests of the student as some of the most important things a tutor can do for a student. Patience, creativity,…
The most important thing for a tutor can do for a student is to make sure they understand fully the concepts not just the formula and equations but also the explanation and reasons behind those equations. As a tutor with strong interpersonal skills, I can quickly identify individual strengths and weaknesses and tailor the lessons plan accordingly…

As a tutor apart from the subject we need to teach ethics, moral values. And how to overcome the problems they are facing in a day to day life. My major strength is my experience. One of the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is understanding them in that way it is easier to connect with student and vice versa and the learning gets easier. I believe the most important things that a tutor can do for a student mainly relies on what the end goal of the student is. If it is just to get the homework done, it will get done. But, for me as a tutor, I would personally make sure that every student understands the concept from the beginning rather than providing a general overview. I believe…
I consider being able know the student's strength and weakness and explain them the topic accordingly to be the most important thing. People have different strengths, weakness and thinking capabilities. Tutors should be able to understand that and make sure that the way they are teaching should not be neither too overwhelming nor too boring/easy…
Sophie is very happy with Jane as a tutor. Jane is extremely diligent - we have the complication of the UK syllabi and Jane has taken a lot of trouble in her own time, to check up on what Sophie should be learning !
Hello and thank you for your email. We are happy with Philip's progress in these few weeks as you suggest I am sure more time is needed for him to be more confident . We are also happy with his tutor he is very well spoken, polite and gets on well with my son so far.
Thanks Gene, so far, Jamie's response has been very good. He has had 2 lessons to date, as last week was cancelled at our request (he was away on camp).
Jamie has responded very well to Eshan, who's approach is unassuming, gentle, but persuasive and constructive. Jamie actually looks forward to spending time with Eshan to teach him his Maths strategies.
We look forward to seeing Eshan again next week.
Thanks also for the newsletter. I have to say that I think your supportive written material is very useful!
