At a foundational level, it's most important to ensure the student feels confident with the material they're learning. As a first step, it's important for a biology tutor to assist in honing in and helping the student practice so that their skill level matches the basic requirements of the subject. Then the next most important thing a tutor can do…

The most important thing a biology tutor can do is to identify and work on the problems the student is facing while learning so as to make them confident enough to turn their weakness into strength. Most importantly have fun while learning. I am very creative with my teaching as every student has different pace of learning and solving things.…

Rather than provide a template the student has to learn and fit new information into as they approach different questions, I find it is more important to guide the student in their understanding of new concepts so that they gain a more holistic understanding. This enables them to approach questions where the format is changed from how they had…

A tutor can motivate his student to do the best, with noticing student's weakness, without letting him know because if students got to know their weaknesses they concentrate towards them and don't focus on their goal, so it's good to encourage them. I am flexible, reliable, trustworthy and can answer students queries to their satisfaction, without…

I think the most significant thing that a biology tutor can do is to instill confidence in the student, make them able to learn, and independent learners. It's not providing them with the answers but making them see the 'why' about things. A good tutor listens, is attuned to the way of learning of the student, and gets them at ease asking…

I believe the most important things a biology tutor can do for a student are to provide guidance, build confidence, and foster a love for learning. The best thing any Tutor can do is make a student like a particular subject which she/he used to previously dislike. This means that the Tutor has made a boring subject interesting to the students. And in this way, the student will remember what he/she learns for a lifetime and not just for the purpose of examinations. I am a very patient Tutor,…

A tutor can assist student in understanding the concepts more clearly and a biology tutor can mold a student's focus on the subject. Inside BroadmeadowsTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 7 student Salma worked on maths skills including estimation, rounding numbers, and understanding ratios using online quizzes, and also began drafting a personal journey essay for English.

Year 10 student Wellson focused on solving simultaneous equations with matrices in maths and practiced analytical writing by drafting essays about climate change and the film Sunset Boulevard, receiving feedback to improve his structure.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Abby prepared for her English comparative essay by researching The Dressmaker and The Crucible, compiling notes from both texts, and planning out practice essays.

Recent Challenges

After a Year 11 English SAC, one student struggled to organise essay arguments, despite clear teacher feedback. This made it harder to show logical progression in responses under exam pressure.

In maths (Year 12), missing a graphics calculator slowed practice and limited the chance to attempt complex exercises at home.

Meanwhile, a Year 8 student preparing for an oral presentation felt their confidence dip after forgetting key points during rehearsal; the feedback given was not fully used in follow-up practice.

As revision demands grew before exams, planning and time management sometimes slipped—especially when balancing schoolwork with outside commitments.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Broadmeadows noticed Wellson, a high school student, has moved from struggling to organise his essay ideas to independently drafting well-structured essays and even refining his research approach—a big shift from earlier sessions where planning was a hurdle.

Abby, also in high school, used to feel overwhelmed by assessments but now creates detailed revision schedules and compiles notes ahead of time without prompting.

Meanwhile, Mahmoud (Year 5) has started asking more questions about science topics during sessions instead of staying quiet when unsure; last week he eagerly explained spacetime using objects around the room.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

I think my biggest accomplishment while working with Ezy Maths was motivating my students to believe in themselves and try their best. I came to work with Ezy Math Tutoring because I wanted to gain an experience in teaching others as this would help develop my own leadership and organizational skills. I think that I gained a lot of confidence in guiding others and helping them believe in themselves. What's special about Ezy Math Tutoring is that they help guide you along the way while giving you the freedom of developing your own teaching skills and techniques.

I was very happy with your service and team. I was fortunate to have met two tutors and both were reliable and most importantly helpful.  I came to you as I was attracted to your approach and no upfront fees or contracts....you pay for what you receive at very competitive rates.   I was particularly impressed with your assessments and reports. The communication is outstanding between client and company as well as tutor and client. I would highly recommend your service. Gabie got to where she needed to and at this stage is doing very well. If she will require any further assistance you will be our first call. Many thanks for everything so far.

Thank you for the report. We are very happy with Kim's approach and way of teaching . Yejeena is very responsive to her and enjoying her learning. She has become more confident in school and starting to put her hand up to answer questions when her teacher asks questions from the the class. It seems to us that , Kim also is enjoying working with Yejee and very happy with Yejee's attitude toward her extra study hours after school.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Hume Libraries—or at your child's school (with permission), like Roxburgh College-The Gateway School.
