To be attentive and to address the students personal needs for growth. The tutor should set an ideal example in terms of behaviour motivation and actions- one which a student should be able to look up to but also resonate with. This allows him to engage with the student at a personal level and provide better more relatable academic support, but…

It is to emphatize and to have patience with the student. Not everyone has the same learning curve. Other people learn faster than the others. It is common to get frustrated when your student is not understanding what you are trying to teach him/her, however, do not let your students feel and see that. It may not only hurt their self-confidence…

EzyMath Tutoring has really catered to my needs and reacted to feedback both positive and negative to get the Tutor with the right fit for my son. Since his tutoring, in 1 term he has gone from having a lack of confidence, not completing tests and homework, to now coming in the top 5 in his class with recent test results. I highly recommend EzyMath Tutoring.

Inside BungarribeeTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 9 student Lachlan focused on solving simultaneous equations using substitution and elimination methods, and practiced modeling exponential growth and decay scenarios like population change.

Year 8 student Ethan worked through key concepts in coordinate geometry by finding gradients, midpoints, and distances between points, as well as reviewing linear equations using classwork examples.

For primary level, Year 5 student Alyssa tackled adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and rounding decimals with practical exercises and vocabulary review activities including a word search.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student found it challenging to keep written working clear when rounding numbers, making corrections difficult to track—"working out needs to be a bit larger," the tutor noted.

In Year 10 algebra, skipping subtraction steps in taxable income questions sometimes led to confusion about which figures had been included.

For a senior (Year 12) tackling simultaneous equations, relying mainly on the elimination method left her underprepared for substitution-based exam tasks; homework was set but not always completed before lessons.

When faced with long worded problems in both Years 5 and 9, some students hesitated to attempt full solutions without reassurance.

Recent Achievements

A Bungarribee tutor noticed a Year 12 student who was initially confused by interpreting correlation plots now accurately identifies graph relationships—something that previously led to mistakes on assignments.

In another session, a Year 10 student who used to avoid seeking help has started openly asking questions when unsure about trigonometric concepts and completed an entire booklet independently after clarifying just a few points.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 student who was hesitant with rounding numbers at first gained confidence by collaborating with her sister and finished all related questions without assistance.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Christopher has a very great communication style and is fun and he made the lesson engaging and also challenging.

Washim has been great. Josephine received C/D marks last semester for Maths and has achieved an A- and a B+ for her most recent exams this term so her time with Washim has been very helpful.

Leon had his first session with Tabinder last Wednesday and I am pleased to say it went very well.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Mt Druitt Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Mountain View Adventist College.
