Patience and being a good listener are essential for achieving learning goals. I always try to adjust my techniques and approaches to meet the learning styles of the student. I believe…

I really fell that a physics tutor should be a friend and not like a teacher so that student can easily approach them with their silly doubt without any fear and clear their concept thoroughly. I love to be with children and sometimes be like them and enjoy the life in a simple manner. This really makes a great bond between me and my students due…

Help and guide them in reaching their goals. Understanding the subject instead of scoring marks by byhearting. Support them not only in the subject knowledge but also in their social life. Actually a teacher should be like a second parent and a friend to the students. I am good at accessing the strengths and weakness of students and adjust the…

I think the most important is to be supportive, from experience the reason that most people struggle with learning is because they give up or don’t think they can. Hence encouragement is key and positive re-enforcement. I also believe that making the student comfortable around you and going through source material in an efficient manner can make…

Clarifying even the trivial of the doubts that the student possess maybe the biggest responsibility of the tutor. The tutor must assess a method to deliver the content to them. Patience and evaluating a discrete method for each of the individuals are the two most important characteristics a tutor must flaunt. The tutor must be able to teach in a…

Help him or her to find their own ways to study most efficiently. Give them the tools, which would allow them to be more confident and comfortable in their learning not only at school, but also beyond. Good knowledge of my subjects and belief that math and science need the same systematic training to become easy, as sports. And that as only some…

As a physics tutor, I can teach concepts and skills from a different perspective to what the student learns in a classroom. As a tutor, I get to spend a lot of time one-on-one with students, which means I can specifically understand individual needs and adjust my approach accordingly. This means that students can get the most out of their sessions…

Inside BurnleyTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Sam worked through factorisation in algebra and solved chemistry mole calculation problems, using step-by-step examples to clarify each process.

For Year 10, Matt focused on structuring English essays by embedding quotes effectively and linking evidence to themes in "The Golden Age."

Meanwhile, Year 7 student Yasmine practiced plotting linear equations on a graph—finding coordinates and understanding why these equations form straight lines—by working through visual exercises together.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student in Mathematics often avoided writing out equations and working, relying on mental calculations—he skipped showing steps in algebra, which hid sign errors. This made it hard to spot where his reasoning broke down.

In Year 11 English, a student repeatedly left homework incomplete and didn't use highlighters or mindmaps for essay planning, missing opportunities to structure arguments more clearly.

Meanwhile, a Year 7 struggled with consistently bringing required books to lessons, disrupting focus at the start of each session.

During a Physics assignment in Year 12, brief answers were submitted without detail, limiting depth and understanding.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Burnley noticed Matt now completes all his English homework ahead of time and uses planning tables and flash cards to organise ideas—previously he'd only write brief notes and needed prompting.

In Year 10 Biology, another student who once hesitated with project tasks started volunteering creative ways to build a plant cell diorama after some encouragement.

Meanwhile, Yasin (Year 12) is showing real independence: instead of waiting for solutions, he's begun applying physics formulas by himself during lessons and checking his own answers before asking for help.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

The sessions are best summed up by Sasha herself after Tiasha left last Monday afternoon - "Mum do we get to fill in a questionnaire about Tiasha because I think she is a fantastic teacher. She's introducing me to new things and explains things in a way that I understand." - we are very happy so far.

Luke was a great tutor and we appreciate everything he did. Overall we were completely satisfied and would be happy to recommend your service.

In regards to Manisha and the help she provided lsabella last year, my husband and I were very happy with the improvement in Isabella's maths results.  Manisha was able to explain things in a way that she could understand in a non judgemental way, gave her some great examples to work with and was available for questions any time.  Isabella's confidence in her maths improved as a result of all of Manisha's efforts. Before we came to you, Isabella disliked maths intensely and had no confidence in the subject.  The more comfortable she became, she was able to assist her classmates who were struggling. I would be more than happy to recommend Ezymath if the opportunity arises.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as City of Boroondara Library Service—or at your child's school (with permission), like SEDA College (Victoria) - FFV Burnley.
