I believe that the capacity to build strong, personal relationships with their students can inspire them to work to the best of their ability and succeed. Moreover, this also allows the tutor to more easily recognise the student's strengths and weaknesses and adapt to whatever they may need best. I am a very adaptable person that can shift my…

Chemistry Tutor Keilor Park, VIC
- Being patient is one of the most important things a tutor can do, along with willing to repeat themselves as long as it takes for the student to grasp the concept. Another important thing is to be creative and have multiple ways of teaching, which also strengthens the student's understanding. As a tutor, I hold multiple skills and strengths…

Being able to have a postivie relationship with a student. I think good teachers are able to have positive relationships with their students and also know exactly what they are doing. I believe I can be able to have good relationships with a student easily as I am easily approachable. However, I have not done much math since highschool and my…

A tutor shouldn't be the individual who would only be associated with studies and stuff. A tutor should be someone to whom a student can approach with any sorts of problem with the expectation that their tutor can find a solution to it. Moreover, a tutor should be a guiding light to the student. - Communication - Experience -…

I would say understanding student's problem is the most important to help a student. Student's problem can be in the subject matter itself, or way the subject is delivered. Some may prefer more theory in the beginning, and some may prefer tutorial way of learning. So, tutoring should be tailor-made to a student for best learning experience. As a…

Teach the lesson content easily where a student can grab it without any stress. Specially tutor should be able to teach the students to solve complex problems step by step and how to tackle it in a logical way. Also the tutor should be able to understand the students preferences and their learning methods at the first place to schedule or to map…

I would highly recommend EzyMath Tutoring. The tutors are highly skilled and super friendly. The support, information and payment options provided by the company is exceptional and second to none! After only a few sessions, my daughter has developed greater insight and greater confidence and skills in Maths. Her results have improved immensely. Thank you EzyMath Tutoring!!!

Inside Calder ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Aryan worked on representing and interpreting data using different types of graphs, then explored measures of centre including mean, median, mode, and range.

In Year 8, Jake focused on algebraic expressions—learning how to collect like terms and expand brackets step-by-step.

Meanwhile, Year 9 student Sarah practised applying the Pythagoras theorem to solve problems involving right-angled triangles and was introduced to basic trigonometry concepts like sine, cosine, and tangent using SOH CAH TOA.

Recent Challenges

Several high school students faced challenges with test-taking processes, especially under timed conditions in mathematics.

For example, one Year 10 student "needed more practice being focused on task and timed," leading to rushed working during trigonometry revision.

A Year 8 learner struggled with interpreting worded problems—"difficulty understanding certain words" left some questions unanswered in assessments.

At the primary level, another student hesitated with multiplication tables when put under test pressure, slowing down progress through number facts.

In Year 12, over-reliance on a CAS calculator caused hesitation recalling formulas without support; confidence wavered as unfamiliar topics appeared.

Recent Achievements

One Calder Park tutor noticed a big shift in a Year 9 student who used to freeze when facing trigonometry questions—last session, she confidently identified opposite, adjacent, and hypotenuse sides and could calculate missing angles with little prompting.

In Year 11, another student showed new independence by spotting algebraic errors on his own and fixing them immediately, rather than waiting for guidance as he did before.

Meanwhile, a younger primary student who had previously needed step-by-step help surprised her tutor by working through mixed fraction addition solo and checking her own answers for mistakes.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Thanks for asking So far so good Michael is great. Kane seems to be quite happy

We are very happy with the way the tutoring is working out. Harry seems to have improved already and his confidence is on the way up, all good news. Lee has been excellent and Harry is very happy to work with him.

Sophie is very happy with Jane as a tutor.  Jane is extremely diligent - we have the complication of the UK syllabi and Jane has taken a lot of trouble in her own time, to check up on what Sophie should be learning !

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Sydenham Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Overnewton Anglican Community College - Canowindra Campus.
