Being Non-judgmental with a desire to help; does not make assumptions about students; treats all students as individuals who want to learn and have the ability to learn no matter what their personal background or circumstances are. Encourages independence: You do not want the student to rely on you at all times. Let them know that they must put…

Engineering Studies Tutor Highton, VIC
I have good grades, knowledge, a Master's degree and experience in the field. I believe it is important to find a tutor who is patient, who truly enjoys teaching, enjoys the company of his or her students and has the ability to build a rapport with them so that they can learn. This, I promise you, I can do. I like to explain the concept just the…

The primary role, I believe, for a teacher is to guide students to the right direction. With all the progress in information technology, educational content is readily available for literally anyone willing to learn something. The key role, for a modern-day teacher, I feel is to help students understand what they might be looking for and how they…

The best thing a tutor can do is to remove the fear within the students of asking even the simplest questions. Also to make them feel connected with the tutor and make the study enjoyable and comfortable. I make a good rapport with the student very quickly. My method explanations are easy to understand. I focus more on basic concepts. I never get…

Engineering Studies Tutor Wandana Heights, VIC
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to be available for a student at times of need, to clear their doubts, especially during exams, as that is generally the time when students have the most number of doubts. Students who don't have any uncleared doubts before an exam are generally more confident, and tend to perform better in exams.…

We're so happy with Ritchie, he is a lovely young man who relates very well with Jackson. Jackson has been so positive and confident after each session with Ritchie and his Maths teacher is happy with his progress.

Inside CeresTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Grace worked on ordering and comparing fractions with like denominators, as well as identifying the meaning of numerators and denominators in real-world contexts.

In Year 10, Austin tackled English text response planning for "The Crucible" by developing essay introductions and conclusions, alongside reviewing persuasive devices used in analysis.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Lucas focused on understanding the domain and range of functions using graphs and began exploring composite transformations such as translations and reflections.

Recent Challenges

In Year 11 English, one student hesitated to begin essays, sharing that "he gets stuck starting a response," which slowed planning and led to rushed conclusions.

A Year 10 maths student often second-guessed correct answers instead of trusting initial instincts, as noted: "He kept thinking about marks rather than what he knew was right."

Meanwhile, a Year 12 struggled to recall key chemistry and algebra concepts when under pressure—forgetting definitions and missing steps in calculations. These moments left gaps in their work or required extra time for corrections, sometimes leading to last-minute stress before assessments.

Recent Achievements

One Ceres tutor noticed a Year 10 student who previously hesitated to speak up now confidently backs himself during English sessions, even volunteering his ideas for text response plans without prompting.

A Year 11 maths student, who once struggled to visualise domain and range, recently used graphing techniques independently to tackle textbook problems—this shift came after trying out visual learning strategies in tutoring.

In a primary session, a younger student who would guess answers now pauses to draw and visualise maths questions before solving them. Last week, she measured items around the house and converted the units on her own.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Ezymath and Natasha. During the half year's tuition, my daughter's English has been significantly improved. She also becomes more confident. I am very satisfied with Ezymath's service. I actually recommended ezymath to some friends, but not sure if they will finally find help from you.

I would also like to advise that our tutor Frank has been absolutely fantastic with our daughter Sophie.  In only a short time he has helped her enormously and has improved her confidence and understanding of the maths topics.  She is feeling a lot less stressed with her homework levels and workload heading into Year 9 next year , just as long as we have Frank!

Hi Erica Lachie seems to be enjoying his maths sessions and is keen make them each week which we are pleased about. Thanks for the follow up.
