Tutor Mill Park, VIC
I would say a tutors' ultimate goal would be to get in sync with the way the student is taught in their respective schools, colleges or universities. Additionally, it is extremely important to make friends with the students, as this is necessary for proper engagement. I am not afraid to do some research when it comes to getting a student to…

Local Reviews

I have been using Ezy maths from the past three years now. Even though moving houses was a challenge but my sons tutoring needs were well taken care of and he had a smooth transit with his tutor. The tutor Mandeep singh is fantastic and always goes an extra mile with my son!!! I will surely recommend the company.

Inside DoreenTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 7 student Ava focused on simplifying and adding surds, then applied her skills to multiplying surds for area calculations.

Year 9 student Liam worked through rationalising denominators with surds and using fractional indices, as well as solving linear equations and interpreting straight line graphs.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 student tackled subtraction, addition, and multiplication questions in preparation for NAPLAN numeracy, along with practising long division and timetables using school worksheets.

Recent Challenges

In Year 8 Maths, he skips over steps instead of slowly working through them, making it hard to spot where small calculation errors occur.

A Year 10 student was reminded that relying on a calculator for multiplication and division masked gaps in mental arithmetic; this showed up when classwork required speed without aids.

During VCE preparation, one student's incomplete revision booklet meant missing exposure to unfamiliar question types—on practice tests, this led to hesitation and lost marks.

In English (Year 7), difficulty organising essay drafts resulted in scattered ideas, making it tough to translate thoughts clearly onto the page.

Recent Achievements

One Doreen tutor noticed a big change in a Year 9 student who used to freeze up at factorisation but, after some focused practice, began recognising patterns and using the common method without hesitation—she even asked for extra examples.

In Year 11 maths, another student who'd struggled with logarithms was able to tackle extension questions independently once he grasped the basics, surprising himself by explaining his process out loud.

Meanwhile, a younger primary learner who always avoided times tables started organising her worksheets neatly and handed in all her homework on time for the first week ever.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Mernda Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Plenty Valley Christian College.
