Chemistry Tutor Bendigo, VIC
The ability to understand a student and their learning style is something I highly value in a chemistry tutor. In school classes where they are often one of many, they may find that the teaching style may not work for them and that they cannot achieve their goals. In a tutoring scenario, we are able to cater to them more specifically, to be…

I believe the most important thing a chemistry tutor can do for students is to give them the confidence to believe in their abilities in order for them to view themselves as capable enough to learn new things, work hard and perform their best. This starts with the tutor identifying the student's area of need and working hard alongside them to…

Chemistry Tutor Flora Hill, VIC
I believe being patient and considerate of each student is the most important thing for a tutor to do because this will make the learning space better for the student. If the student feels like their tutor is genuinely caring for their education then they will give their best. I can gauge when a student is or isn't understanding a concept, and can…

Chemistry Tutor Spring Gully, VIC
A tutor must always fully and wholly understand his content and always develop innovative ways to communicate the information to their students; meaning - don't copy the textbook on a power point, instead develop your own materials My recent conclusion of year 12 gives me fresh knowledge on the current study designs, the appropriate material…

Chemistry Tutor Huntly, VIC
Form a strong connection so that the student is confident to ask for help as this will help them succeed if they are able to learn the correct knowledge and the tutor knows how best the student learns. As a student myself, I find it important to apply the content you are learning so as a tutor I often review the content with applied questions and…

Local Reviews

An amazing tutor, willing to go all lengths to ensure that you are on top everything you are learning. Helped me so much in regards to my exams and studying over the year, constantly staying overtime, only leaving until I understood everything 110%. An amazing tutor and helped me achieve the best result possible with a caring smile.

Inside EaglehawkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Zane focused on maths operations and understanding the order of operations, as well as English comprehension by responding in full sentences to assess his grasp of the material.

For Year 8, Chloe revised solving linear equations in maths and worked on proofreading and writing introductions for English tasks.

Meanwhile, Year 9 student Tom practised essay writing about the novel "Wonder" and tackled trigonometry basics, including using diagrams to visualise problems.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student often left homework incomplete—especially English tasks—which meant class time had to be spent revisiting objectives rather than moving forward.

In Year 11, confusion between addition and multiplication of fractions surfaced during revision, as "switching between concepts can be tricky," one tutor observed; this led to repeated errors and slower progress.

For a Year 4 learner, untidy maths working made it hard to trace steps in long division, causing mistakes to go unnoticed until late in the lesson.

When a Year 10 student couldn't locate a recent test for review, opportunities for targeted feedback were lost.

Recent Achievements

One Eaglehawk tutor recently saw a Year 11 student who, after previously hesitating to speak up, now openly shares when a concept isn't clear and asks for targeted help in maths—something he used to avoid.

Another high school student surprised herself by pushing through nerves to deliver a strong English presentation, having struggled with public speaking earlier this term.

In primary sessions, one younger learner proudly brought in an organised homework folder for the first time and completed all her assigned tasks neatly—an impressive turnaround from her previous forgetfulness about homework.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Thanks for asking So far so good Michael is great. Kane seems to be quite happy

We are very happy with the way the tutoring is working out. Harry seems to have improved already and his confidence is on the way up, all good news. Lee has been excellent and Harry is very happy to work with him.

Sophie is very happy with Jane as a tutor.  Jane is extremely diligent - we have the complication of the UK syllabi and Jane has taken a lot of trouble in her own time, to check up on what Sophie should be learning !

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Eaglehawk Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Eaglehawk Primary School.
