The most important things a physics tutor can do is to be encouraging and patient! A lot of students may dislike sciences for the reasons they have been taught. Rather than knowing how concepts work, I think it is equally important to teach why concepts work and where they came from all whilst remaining patient and encouraging. I am enthusiastic,…

A tutor should be able to teach a student a new way of approaching problems, that is tailored to that student. I am a creative thinker. I am very capable of thinking outside the box and coming up with many different ways of explaining the same thing. As well as this I am a very patient person, who never gives up on a…

The most important thing that I can do is to allow the student to learn with fun and without any stress. This can be done with a broad explanation on topics and giving examples from our day to day activities. Consequently, a student will able to catch up all the difficult theories easily. I have a good understanding about the math related subjects…

The most important thing that a physics tutor can do for a student is GUIDING! NOT teaching to solve a single problem. A good teacher will guide a student to figure out techniques by himself. Because especially in Mathematics, approach to all problems is not the same. It's the teacher's duty to guide the student to figure out the techniques to…

In feel like the most important thing a physics tutor can do for a student is to really make sure that they understand the content that is being taught by providing them with academic guidance throughout the year. From my experience I noticed that there are students who still hold their voices at school when they have a doubt due to several factors. On this note, I find being a tutor amusing as I always find solving…

I think that the most important thing a physics tutor can do for a student is to help them completely understand the material. Furthermore, a tutor…

Inside Endeavour HillsTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Oliver practiced reading and converting between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats, as well as worked through multiplication tables and began learning about powers and square roots.

For Year 8, Jacinta explored key Legal Studies topics including the principles of justice and the hierarchy of law-making—using diagrams to clarify differences between sectors of parliament—and completed practice questions for an upcoming SAC.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Hayley revised quadratic expressions and equations, focusing on solving a range of algebraic problems from her current maths unit.

Recent Challenges

In Year 10 English, one student's SAC responses relied heavily on dot points and brief notes, which made answers unclear and incomplete—"full sentences are needed for clarity," the tutor observed.

In Year 9 maths, skipping written working when solving fraction conversions meant small errors weren't caught early; "she tried to do it all in her head before writing anything down."

A Year 12 student's essay planning was rushed, leading to missing evidence and weak structure.

When asked to edit drafts, another senior student only corrected surface-level grammar issues but left deeper problems untouched. This left essays feeling unfinished during class discussions.

Recent Achievements

One Endeavour Hills tutor noticed that a Year 10 student who used to second-guess herself in maths tests is now asking clarifying questions during lessons and even requested extra practice problems, which she worked through independently—something she previously avoided.

In another session, a Year 11 student demonstrated real initiative by completing her homework ahead of schedule and began working on upcoming topics without prompting, after previously struggling to keep up.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 student who was once hesitant about reading aloud now volunteers to read passages during lessons and picks out tricky words with minimal support.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

For establishing tutors, Ezy Math provides a solid support base to springboard them into the market. Not only does it take out the stress of sourcing and securing clients, but the CEP modules ensure the constant engagement of the learning styles of the tutor, and make it clear that all manner of support is available for those who need it. This programme really sets Ezy Math apart from other services, and allows tutors to blossom into confident, experienced mentors. The in-home service really does provide a unique experience for clients, which they truly appreciate. It also helps to make a clear distinction in students' minds between the lessons offered at school, to the very different style of education tutors have to produce. For all prospective tutors, Ezy Math is a great way to grow comfortable within the industry. Through the guidance of Ezy Math it has been a joy to watch students develop a real confidence because of my tutelage.

I just wanted to express my thanks to you and my son's tutor Sam. With his assistance Grady improved his maths results from virtually failing the subject to achieving a very respectable B + for his end of year  11 final grade. Sam was personable and patient, encouraging and motivating. Even though my son has decided not to continue studying maths in year  12 , I am delighted with the results he was able to achieve ,and the confidence and self- belief he attained. Please pass these comments on to Sam. Again, thank you so much.

All good so far, both Will and I are very happy with Ben. He is good value. Highly recommend him.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Endeavour Hills Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Islamic College of Sport - South-East Campus.
