The most important things to me is to engage, motivate and involve the student with their study. Too many students suffer from sidelining and taking a backseat in education due to a number of reasons. Hence, being able to link a student's passion by showing how education is not a blocker but rather an enabler for their curiousities and wonders is…

Local Reviews

The fit of the tutor to my daughter's study needs was amazing
David York, Everton Park

Inside Everton ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 11 student Amelia focused on complex numbers and began exploring logarithms, using example problems to consolidate understanding.

Year 12 student Emileigh reviewed teacher feedback for her Biology assignment and adjusted her draft before revisiting algebra concepts and percentages.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Josh was introduced to foundational algebra skills, including simplifying equations and solving for unknowns.

Recent Challenges

A Year 11 student working on specialist maths assignments struggled to break down complex problems, often "trying to complete many steps at once" in Gaussian elimination. This led to confusion and errors that could have been avoided by documenting each step.

In Year 8 mathematics, over-reliance on calculators was noted—one student frequently used the calculator for basic values, despite exams limiting its use.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner sometimes skipped reading full problem instructions and missed key parts of questions; this habit resulted in incomplete answers and unnecessary frustration during review.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Everton Park noticed Jasmine, a Year 11 student, is now confidently recognising patterns with surds and independently applying trigonometry concepts—last term, she hesitated to attempt these without prompting.

In Year 12, Emma has started pinpointing her own mistakes after practice exams; rather than waiting for feedback, she'll identify errors herself and try alternative approaches before asking for help.

Meanwhile, Lily (Year 3) recently began solving clock problems independently involving "quarter to" and "quarter past" times without needing reminders, a step up from earlier sessions when she mixed them up each time we practised.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

My son was struggling with maths at school and felt that he was falling behind his peers. He asked if he could have a maths tutor. My neighbors recommended EzyMath so we decided to give them a try. The tutor we got was reliable and approachable.  He had a quiet and patient mannor and always encouraged my son to work things out for himself. My son never complained about having his maths tuition, which surprised me! After a couple of months of maths tuition from EzyMath I had a phone call from my son's maths teacher at school to say that he had done so well in his year 10 exams that he suggested my son choose Maths methods as one of his subjects for year 11.  This would definitely not have happened without the tuition he received from EzyMath. Thanks for all your help. It was a very positive experience.

We are very happy with Joshua. He is young and energetic and seems to catch my kid's attention. His English is excellent and he has a very pleasing polite manner.

Ezy maths was very quick in finding the right tutor for my daughter, who is doing her HSC this year. Joyce was very well organized, caring, knowledgeable and used great techniques. Matilda was very happy with her and learned a lot. Ezy Maths gave us helpful hints on how to be prepared and what to expect from a tutor.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Everton Park Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Everton Park State High School.
