Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student often left homework incomplete or misplaced, leading to gaps when reviewing new fraction topics—"he couldn't find the working out of the homework," a tutor noted, so time was lost retracing steps.

In Year 11 trigonometry, skipping calculator checks with inverse sine caused wrong angle values.

Another Year 10 student's messy written work in division algorithms made it difficult to catch simple number errors; lines and digits didn't align.

Hesitation to show working, as seen in a Year 7 session on number patterns, led to confusion and slowed progress during class discussions.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Glendenning noticed that James, a senior student who used to hesitate with simultaneous equations, now confidently tackles word problems by forming and solving his own systems—he recently solved for two variables without needing any prompts.

Bella, in Year 10, had previously struggled to change the subject of formulas but now can rearrange complex algebraic expressions and even applied this skill successfully to an HSC question after some guidance.

Meanwhile, Aaron from Year 4 no longer waits passively when stuck; he started using factor trees independently to break down numbers and found prime factors on his own last session.
