The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen and prompt critical thinking. It is hard to know what is best for a student unless you are constantly listening to them and understanding their reasoning. Get the student to understand why they came to that conclusion, and present new ideas to them to expand their thinking or…
I believe that tutors should not regurgitate content students have learnt in class. Instead, tutors should guide students on how to learn more effectively through study tips. This is something I am very adamant on, as I have first-hand experienced how improving studying habits can positively impact one's academic career. My strength as a tutor is…
Sure, a bit more detail. The most crucial aspects of tutoring involve providing personalized guidance tailored to the student's needs, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, and ultimately helping them build confidence in their abilities. These elements work together to…
It is very important for me as tutor to ensure that a student do not feel demotivated. This begins with creating a safe learning environment and ensuring that they will not feel pressured for making mistakes, as mistakes are part of the learning process. When a student struggles with a problem, it is important to be patient and commit to ensuring…
The most important thing a tutor can do is inspire confidence that nothing is impossible! We're here to help and that involves listening, understanding, and figuring out how to make the subject matter tick for the student—as they say in the military, "There are no bad soldiers; only bad generals". Patience, ability to understand other…
It is highly important for a tutor to listen and more specifically identify gaps and concerns that a student is having in a particular area. I believe that my strengths are that I have developed strong communication skills over the course of my employment and my university studies. I studied Board English at highschool and maintained high grades…
A tutor needs to teach a student the method of dealing with maths instead of the correct result. My strength is that I learned the most complicated Maths when I was in high school and I know how to deal with it. My weakness is that English is not my first…
The most important thing for a tutor is to know how well students respond to different teaching methods and ensure they learn the content suited to their own learning methods. I do not have experience in tutoring; however, I think I can bring a positive influence to the students by catering to their different needs as learners. I also have…
The most important thing a tutor can do is to never give up on the student, no matter how fast the student can cope up with the lesson. I am very patient and I keep my student interested at all times, by making it a fun learning…
The most important thing a tutor can do for their students is to connect with them so that students can feel free to tell them whether they understand a particular topic or not. This helps the tutor to know what exact topics to help the students. My strengths as a tutor would be ability to connect with the students at their level and also my aim…
Being able to understand how much a student can handle without overwhelming them, keeping lessons engaging so the student does not lose interest in the subject, and not demeaning a student for not understanding topics that may be conventionally 'easy' as it may likely discourage the student - these are a few of the most important principles a…
I believe the most significant thing a tutor can do is shape their teaching based on the students weaknesses to enhance their learning to the fullest. I also believe teaching the students to be independent in their students is significant as you cannot be their for them 24/7, and helping them develop proper individual study skills is crucial for a…
The most important thing that I, as a tutor, can do for my students, is to be able to get them inspired on certain subjects or topics.
Of course, without the inspiration, it is unlikely they would be motivated to put in hard work to succeed. * Teach from the heart, not from the head.
* Quick thinking and alert.
* Ability to convey a concept…
The most important a tutor can do for a student is that they make sure the student knows that they are just as capable to be independent and build confidence in their own abilities; furthermore, they should give the students a chance to study in the most effective way based on their own individual learning styles and thought process. In summary,…
I personally think being present and always being eager to get through sessions no matter the difficulty since there is always an easier way to get by problems. Being patient with students is essential since students' learning methods vary. Also pushing them to strive for development and always looking to make the session enjoyable throughout! I…
A tutor not only teaches the student but also inspires them to do better. A student finds a guardian in his/her tutor and the tutor teaches them and motivates them to become a good person. Can explain the concepts fluently.
Can break the difficult and large topics into small and easy one.
Student friendly way of teaching .
Real life…
Being respectful is one of the best ways to connect with a student, and allows students room to speak up about any issues they are having. Having good management skills will ensure students are taught with well prepared content, and also be heared with appropriate after class learning material to prepare for the next lesson. Very good…
Teach themappropriately. Know your students, and teach them in their way. Strengths- I am availiable and I know i can teach so students will benefit from this! Weakness- Maybe pushing my cherubs too…
The most important things I can do for a student is teaching them how to learn and study more efficiently as those are more important than helping them to solve specific questions. I like to evaluate and assess the situation at first, which I believe is a strength as a tutor because it is hard to improve before knowing what one's weaknesses are.…
The most important thing will be to help the student find his/her interest in the subject. If they don't believe they can do it or that what they're learning is actually beneficial, they're only ever going to treat it as something they have to do. It'll be difficult for them to reach their potential in the subject. My strengths would be ability to…
To break a complex subject/topic and explain it as simple as possible so that the student absorbs the very same content that the subject is trying to convey. - I am patient enough to teach a student no matter how many times I would have to explain the same topic because I myself have been impatiently asking my teachers about the doubts.
- To grab…
To me, one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to be open and encouraging. Everyone (not only kids) gets embarrassed and scared to ask questions when they don't know what to do -- its our job to make sure they feel safe enough to ask so that they can fully grasp everything in their minds. If one of my students kept…
We are so happy and impressed with Pariese. She has already made a great rapport with Charlie, which was our initial concern. She is both both professional and engaging with an obvious passion for maths. She has given us feedback relating to Charlie's learning style and is active in finding strategies to suit him. The fact that he looks forward to his lesson, is a testament in itself. She is always punctual and happy to have a brief at the end of each session. I have spoken to Pariese about Charlie needing long term tutoring, to which she agreed.
Everything seems to be progressing well, Trai is asking questions which is good, he is quite happy to have the lessons I know its early days so we will wait and see
Everything is going well and Nayte likes Thilacsan. He has given Nayte some problems to work out during the week which he is doing.
