The most important things a tutor can do for a student is to listen, understand and be patient. I believe it is vital for tutors to listen to their students in order to communicate to them effectively and target their weaknesses. Every student has different learning styles and the pace at which they learn, by understanding this, students are able…

I believe that tutors need to help students feel confident in their ability. When a student feels more confident in their work they will be able to see more clearly their potential and this will help them perform better in their assessments. Tutors need to be supportive of students and encourage them to work hard, not do all their work for them.…

I consider the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be patient and remember that everyone learns at their own pace, in their own way. Tutors can provide practice papers, positive feedback, ways of improving to the student. The aim is to not make the student feel as if they are unable to achieve the goal, but to allow them to…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen to what they need and make sure to push them only to their highest point of productivity. Every student has different goals and learns in a different way so it is the responsibility of the tutor to cater to those needs. I am able to foster and maintain strong connections with…

EzyMath tutoring is highly recommended. From my initial communication with EzyMath they have delivered exceptional customer service. My daughter is already reaping the benefits of her fabulous tutor after only 4 one hour sessions. Her grade for her algebra topic test has improved by 30%! Can not speak highly enough of this company

Inside KareelaTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Tia focused on measuring length and applying reading comprehension skills to short texts.

For Year 9, Josh worked through Pythagoras' theorem and indices problems using targeted revision questions.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Mia practiced solving linear equations and rearranging algebraic expressions, with extra attention given to breaking down multi-step processes for clarity.

Recent Challenges

In Year 10 financial maths, a student hesitated to write out her working, especially when combining multiple steps—she generally knows what she is meant to do however, struggles when adding multiple steps together.

During Year 9 algebra sessions, another student skipped writing down rearrangement steps, leading to confusion with simple interest questions.

In a Year 7 division lesson, a lack of confidence saw one student avoid certain problems unless completely sure of the answer.

In each case, incomplete written working and avoidance after setbacks slowed progress—sometimes the page stayed blank just because an answer didn't come easily at first.

Recent Achievements

One Kareela tutor recently saw a Year 10 student, who had struggled with algebraic manipulation just two weeks ago, now solve equations and tackle geometry independently—she finished her quadratic problems without needing any hints.

In a Year 8 session, another student showed a real shift: after often rushing through fraction work and making small errors, he slowed down and started checking his steps, leading to correct answers when converting between mixed and improper fractions.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner who used to avoid reading out loud volunteered to read an entire passage during the session.
