Biology Tutor Hobartville, NSW
I believe the most important things a biology tutor can do for a student include creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment, offering clear and comprehensible explanations, and adapting teaching methods to fit the student's unique needs. It's also vital to boost the student's confidence and help them develop effective study habits…

Biology Tutor Richmond, NSW
A tutor should take the time to understand each student's unique strengths, weaknesses, learning styles, and goals. This enables the tutor to tailor their teaching approach and materials to meet the student's specific needs. Moreover, a biology tutor should encourage active learning by engaging students in discussions, asking questions, and…

Biology Tutor Agnes Banks, NSW
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is give them the skills that they need to be able to succeed in the specific course. The one on one encouragement results in confidence in students. I am easily able to explain difficult concepts in simple terms and i am able to come up with several different explanations. I am able to…

Inside KurmondTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Sienna practiced the split and compensation strategies for addition and subtraction, as well as multiplication fundamentals, through step-by-step worked examples.

In Year 8, Luke focused on algebraic equations by learning how to move pronumerals across the equals sign and applying BODMAS rules to simplify expressions.

Meanwhile, Year 9 student Isaac revised key skills in mathematics by tackling word problems involving fractions and reviewing BODMAS alongside long division techniques.

Recent Challenges

During a Year 10 algebra lesson, a student frequently lost focus, doodling instead of working—"he often writes something on his page or does a drawing which significantly lowers his concentration," noted the tutor. This led to forgotten formulas and trouble applying them to mixed problems.

In Year 8 English, another student's knowledge gaps persisted after long breaks with no revision; attempts to recall previous work resulted only in basic answers, showing weak retention.

Meanwhile, a primary student preparing an adolescent presentation left compulsory criteria unfinished until the last minute, causing unnecessary stress as the deadline loomed.

Recent Achievements

One Kurmond tutor noticed a big shift with a Year 10 student who used to get distracted easily during maths; this week, he maintained focus for the whole lesson and showed real interest by comparing time zones without prompting.

In a recent high school English session, another student took feedback on essay structure seriously and began drafting paragraphs more independently, rather than waiting for hints.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 learner who previously hesitated to ask questions now actively seeks help when stuck on place value problems, even explaining her thinking out loud before moving on to new sums.

Thanks for the email. We are very happy with Lisa. She is bright and keen and has established a very easy rapport with Xiao. Xiao actually really likes her. We feel very confident that Xiao will continue to make progress with her maths.

Thanks for the email.  I am very happy with Charlie he seems to be doing a good job and Ellah has said that he is doing a good job and is really teaching her the concepts.

We are very happy with AiPing, she works the boys hard and seems to be very knowledgeable.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Richmond Branch Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Kurmond Public School.
