Chemistry Tutor Andrews Farm, SA
As a chemistry tutor, my duty is not just to support them intellectually, but also to help them learn and comprehend the world. I would love to help them grow mentally and emotionally to emerge as a good human being on the whole. Before being a tutor to them, I have to be their friend to enable their overall happy development as an individual. I…

Encouraging and patient when explaining concepts to students. Tutors need to provide encouragement as this will build both motivation within the student to do well in a subject, and increase their overall confidence in a difficult topic. I believe setting achievable goals is also an important thing a chemistry tutor can do. Patience is also…

I believe the most important thing a chemistry tutor can offer a child is patience. Impatience does not create a suitable learning environment. Qualities like these can prevent a child from wanting to learn, they may negatively associate with the subject, putting them further behind. Every child can succeed, given enough time. I have strengths as…

Chemistry Tutor Salisbury North, SA
Most importantly, a student should be motivated and encouraged so that he studies with interest. He should be made to feel that if he failed to understand a concept once, it is perfectly fine and he should keep trying. He should be taught the actual meaning of the word 'Competition' , which is to beat his / her own last performance and not anyone…

I strongly believe that tutor are in a position, where they can not only help the student with solving a problem, but also build their confidence so that they become confident in solving any type of problems independently. It is also about teaching them how to approach a question instead of giving them the answers. For example, helping them to…

Chemistry Tutor Elizabeth North, SA
For high school students, I find that the most important thing a chemistry tutor can do is to build a student's confidence in their own abilities. More often than not, I hear student's say that they don't know what they're doing, which can hold them back from trying their best. It's a fact of psychology that people tend to sabotage their own…

A tutor can help a student grow not only in their academics but also as a human. A tutor is different from a teacher as they can be more personal with a student during 1 on 1 teaching. This gives room for conversations which can help the students grow. Since i was recently a student, I believe that I understand what students are looking for from a…

I believe the most important thing a chemistry tutor can do for a student is to give them the confidence to never stop trying to learn despite few low moments. I personally, encourage students to ask even the most basic questions which come across their mind and to never feel ashamed of wanting to learn more or being curious. In my opinion,…

I believe encouraging a students desire to learn is one of the best things a chemistry tutor can do for their students, and learning can only be joyful when you understand what you're taught. Michael is a fantastic tutor for my Year 11 son who has been experiencing difficulties with his Maths Methods. Michael has been very patient and has explained things really well to the point that my son has been feeling very confident with his maths progress. He will continue to have tutoring from Michael which is seeing him really improve. Michael's been amazing

Inside Macdonald ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Ariana worked on identifying symmetry in shapes and began a Year 4 content quiz to check her understanding across topics.

In Year 10, Sam focused on solving linear equations in two variables using elimination and substitution methods, along with tackling word problems to build real-world application skills.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Daniel practiced trigonometry by finding missing angles and sides of triangles using the cosine rule, as well as reviewing related problems from his school workbook.

Recent Challenges

A Year 12 student left research project work until the last minute, which meant "the opportunity to absorb learning is limited" and notes were incomplete.

In a recent Year 10 biology/English session, key materials—like the test and The Merchant of Venice text—were forgotten, so lesson time couldn't be used effectively.

For Year 9 mathematics, skipping steps in equations ("he tended to skip steps and not explain them") led to unnoticed errors that slowed progress.

Meanwhile, a Year 6 student relied heavily on tutor sessions for assignment completion rather than independent effort, missing chances to build confidence between lessons.

Recent Achievements

One high schooler, Chelsea, has begun tackling complex trigonometry problems on her own—where she once hesitated to ask questions, she now speaks up whenever something's unclear and completes most calculations independently.

Another secondary student, Sam, who previously struggled with assignment focus, took the initiative to re-engage with his Research Project by asking thoughtful interview questions and even received an A for his newspaper PowerPoint presentation.

Meanwhile, Jess in Year 3 made real progress learning new strategies for tricky times tables and started picking up on mistakes during lessons without prompting.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Raj has been excellent & Chloe's teachers have really noticed an improvement.  I will recommend Ezy Math to everyone! Thanks for that.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes Ewan is very happy and I can already see his confidence improving.

We are exceptionally pleased with Adhi.  He has done a great job with Jonathon and we hope to get him back next year on a regular basis to help Jonathon in Year 11.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Playford Civic Centre Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Angle Vale Primary School.
