Motivate them to study. A lot of the times the students are more than capable to achieve good grades but they just struggle with motivation to study, hence the first thing i do is motivate them to study. Being able to explain almost everything in the simplest of steps so that anyone can understand complex topics easily. Also giving my students…

In my opinion, there are several important things that a tutor can do to help their students succeed. First and foremost, providing personalized attention and support is essential. By working one-on-one with my students, I can tailor my teaching methods and strategies to meet their unique needs and learning styles. This helps to ensure that they…

The most important things a tutor can do for a student include building their confidence and personalizing the learning experience to fit their unique needs. Tutors should teach problem-solving skills by guiding students through the thought processes needed to find solutions independently. Creating a positive and encouraging environment where…

I think that communication and being on the same page (figuratively) as your student as very important. Younger people can often be hesitant to admit that they don't know something, so it is important to break down any barriers and understand the students needs. I am determined, patient, mature and motivated. I can try different methods of…

I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are threefold: - offering explanations of and guidance for specific topics and skills - matching the learning levels of the student whereas the content discussed should neither be too easy nor too demanding - tutoring in a non-judgemental fashion whereas failures are treated as…

it is ver important to repeat the context in new ways which are unclear until its understandable for the student and mostly a tutor should be able to share there knowledge in such a maaner that the student would never forget the lesson learned in a particular day. Tutor is a guidance and the support. A right tutor can shape the future of the student. As the Chinese proverb goes: "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for lifetime". Hence I would say tutor plays a very important role in shaping the education and career of the student by teaching him/her the right…

It's important for every tutor to believe in their student. Every child has the potential to excel and the most important thing for a tutor to do is to recognise that potential and help it reach its right fruition. Inside Macquarie ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 11 student Zann focused on tackling trigonometric identities and clarifying questions from a recent exam, using step-by-step algebraic manipulation.

For Year 12, practice involved both consolidating the use of Sine Rule in non-right-angled triangles and addressing uncertainties with complex trigonometric identities.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 student revised three-digit addition and division, as well as interpreting simple graphs and telling time from clocks to strengthen their foundational maths skills.

Recent Challenges

In Year 11 maths, a student's anxiety and frequent distractions—partly linked to ADHD—led to missed details in complex problems; as one tutor noted, "he rushed through questions and didn't always read them properly," which left him confused about equations he'd just completed.

Meanwhile, a primary learner struggled to remember the order of operations when solving mixed word problems, often relying on counting objects instead of developing mental strategies.

In English for Year 8, hesitance to write longer sentences stemmed from low confidence and avoidance of feedback, so written work stayed brief and lacked structure.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Macquarie Park recently saw Sebastian, a Year 10 student, shift from hesitating on mental calculations to working out equations quickly and accurately in his head—something he struggled with during his first few sessions.

In Year 7, Noah not only improved his handwriting but also started completing homework independently before lessons, showing more initiative than before.

For a younger primary student, reading out loud from "The Frill-Neck Lizard" became smoother; last month, she would skip tricky words or mumble, but this time she pronounced new vocabulary clearly without prompting.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

We had tried a couple of tutors for our son prior to contacting Ezymath but found them unreliable or just unsuitable.  Ezymath assessed our son's needs and then recommended a suitable Maths tutor with whom we were very pleased.  They offered flexibility and a very professional service.  The feedback on our son's progress was also very helpful.  I recommend the Ezymath service to anyone who wishes to see their child achieve academic success.

Thank you for the email- yes Steph is off to a great start and has developed a great rapport with William- he is approachable, dependable and enthusiastic-  - I am extremely happy with things.

It was a pleasure working with such a lovely organization. Not only do they listen but they try and solve the child learning difficulties. There tutors are great and also support the child. My daughters mark improved and so did her love for Math's. Would recommend Ezy Math Tutoring to all.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as North Ryde Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like St Anthony's Catholic Primary School.
