The tutor works best by motivating students to push past their perceived limits, in order to achieve success, not just academically, but in every other field. I believe that the most important things that a tutor can do for a student are to listen, be prepared and to facilitate learning rather than giving away answers (this encourages students to think critically and to form a deeper understanding). I consider tutoring to be important in two ways: academics and self-growth. Being a tutor to me means bringing out the best in someone academically as well as providing them with the tools they need to become independent, life-long learners. I think a great tutor is someone who can help their student grow to love and appreciate the subject of…
I believe that being supportive and encouraging is the most important aspects of a tutor as their encouragement will make the student strive for more. It will also motivate them to do better and achieve their best. I have great communication skills and which have helped me explain difficult concepts with ease to students before. I also have great…
I think the most important thing a tutor can be is patient and supportive. As tutors, we have already completed these subjects, and so we know the 'pressure points' and ways to deal with them. It is our job to pass on this knowledge and help others. If someone is receiving tutoring, most often they are struggling with one or more parts of a topic…
A strong relationship between the tutor and student to aid in the students understanding of the topic and area. Be patient with them as everyone learns at a different pace, and also reassure them, especially when they lack confidence. Most importantly provide them with the help they need to succeed. Patience, good communication, intelligence, understanding that it's my responsibility to help this student which will motivate me to work hard and help them to…
The most important thing a tutor can do is clearly communicate a concept or idea to the student, and be patient as everyone absorbs knowledge at different paces. I am friendly and enjoy meeting new people.
I also am understanding to students, as everyone is at a different stage in their academic road to achievement.
I am punctual and…
Understanding that different students have different learning styles, learn content at different paces, and have different needs when needing tutor.

Teach them how to learn in the most efficient and effective manner. This is because once you understand how you learn, you can learn anything. Also, I believe it is important to understand the value of making mistakes, because if you don't make mistakes you will never learn. I am very attentive to the students needs. I am a hard worker and will…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student are to listen as well as make sure they are able to understand the concepts that they need to understand in order to succeed. Give them confidence in their own abilities, particularly if they are having trouble in a particular area, for example Maths. Some of my strengths are that I work well with children and tend to be able to build a good rapport with them. I also have a strong sense of empathy for others which will help me to relate to the students and see issues…
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to make sure they are doing effective goal setting. This includes things such as: understanding their current level, how they are going to improve, and making sure to measure their progress. This allows for the student to understand how they are benefitting from tutoring, and…
A tutor is someone with the power to completely change a student's outlook on a subject. If we are able to make them feel like understanding the subject is not of unreasonable difficulty and can instead be very stimulating and rewarding, that inspiration could change their life ! Improving their grades, is then only a byproduct of good…
Patience, taking a holistic view on the student's learning, focusing on strengths as well as weaknesses, providing explicit feedback. Strengths: Profiling student's capabilities and personality, providing tactful, explicit and encouraging feedback, verbal and written explanations of concepts, using visual as well as linguistic methods of…
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to give them the skills to be confident in their own learning. I have seen first hand that for a student, struggling at school is not only academically unadvisable, but can cause great anxiety and difficulty at school. Some skills come easier to some students than others, and there…
thanks for the information ,sienna will have her last session with wade this week and we will be starting back the last week of january .Wade has been a great help to sienna and we look forward to seeing him next year to help us through year 8 . I am highly impressed with wade and ezy math tutoring .all the best for the holidays.
Our tutor, Amy, came to our place yesterday for my son's first session. Thought I'd give you a bit of feedback.........she was lovely, had been keeping in touch beforehand, and Alex seemed to show signs of much improved motivation !! She clearly is experienced in tutoring students and at this very early stage I think we're off to a great start.
I have some results to report. Wari has sat three tests in the last week or so, the results are: Maths - 95.5%; Chemistry - 100%; Economics - 77% (no coaching in this subject). We are very happy with these results, especially the chemistry one as she has had the most trouble with that subject. Last week, before the Friday chemistry test they did two hours on chemistry, she found the lessons very hard, but the following test very straight forward. In the maths test, she actually did all the calculations correctly but lost marks for rounding an answer incorrectly and rounding a couple of other answers when she shouldn't have! We are very happy with Alexander's teaching, although we are not sitting in the room, he sounds very clear and concise. Another very important thing to consider is that she is very happy with her results and is gaining more self confidence, and, I think, is generally more relaxed and happy with life.
