A tutor can offer student knowledge, better approaches to understand the concepts being studied, inspiration for the future and most importantly friendship. I think my strength as a tutor comes from my ability to connect with students really well as I am also a young tutor. It means that while teaching I can make friends with them so that they…

I consider motivating students and, promoting self-learning and creative thinking to be the most important things a tutor can do for the students. As a tutor, I possess the following key strengths: 1) Simplifying Concepts: I excel at breaking down complex ideas into more digestible parts, utilising analogies that resonate with students. This…

Engineering Studies Tutor Cannington, WA
If a tutor develops a sense of trust and belief of a student so the student can ask anything, even a thousand times without hesitating is the most important thing. That bond can make learning better and more fun as well. I teach by getting to the intellectual level of the student. It takes a little time to understand the student and how they…

Inside MartinTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 7 student Oscar practiced converting between percentages, decimals, and fractions, as well as tackling OLNA-style numeracy questions for confidence-building.

In Year 10, Ava focused on solving problems involving simple and compound interest alongside reviewing methods for calculating mean, median, and mode using sample data.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 student named Lily worked through linear algebra basics—solving systems of equations and matrix operations—before moving on to understanding eigenvalues and eigenvectors in more advanced lessons.

Recent Challenges

In Year 8 mathematics, one student relied heavily on a calculator for basic percentage and finance problems—she reached for the calculator even with simple fractions, which slowed her confidence when asked to explain reasoning aloud.

A Year 10 student's algebra solutions were difficult to follow due to messy working out, making it hard to spot sign errors during revision.

In English (Year 7), homework tasks such as research on World War I were not completed before lessons, resulting in less time available for writing assignments.

For a senior student, annotation and written analysis in poetry remained incomplete without consistent at-home practice.

Recent Achievements

One Martin tutor noticed a Year 10 student who, after struggling with percentage conversions in earlier sessions, could now complete most OLNA practice questions independently and accurately apply the right formulas.

In a recent session with a senior high schooler, there was a shift from confusion to confidence—she worked through matrix multiplication problems on her own for the first time and explained her steps aloud without prompting.

Meanwhile, a primary student who once hesitated to share answers during maths lessons began volunteering solutions to probability problems before being asked, showing new initiative and engagement.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

It was a pleasure working with such a lovely organization. Not only do they listen but they try and solve the child learning difficulties. There tutors are great and also support the child. My daughters mark improved and so did her love for Math's. Would recommend Ezy Math Tutoring to all.

Just a quick email to thank you to Ezy Math and especially Daniel. Natalya received her report card yesterday and passed maths which hasn't happened since the end of year 4. Her teacher has said that continued practice is neccesary for her to continue to pass as she tends to forget the maths concepts when not applying them regularly. Don, I and her teacher have seen an incredible increase in her confidence in Maths as she is no longer afraid to put her hand up and answer a question. Daniel is such a fantastic tutor for Natalya and she responds very well to his approach to tutoring.

Good afternoon. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for sending Justin as Arin's tutor. He has been wonderful and has helped Arin greatly to achieve a better result as well as boosting his confidence. Thank you so much to your friendly team and of course to Justin.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Knowledge Centre—or at your child's school (with permission), like Lumen Christi College.
