The most important thing that a tutor can do is be there for the student. As an experienced tutor at Kumon, I deal with a variety of students who all have different learning capabilities. For a tutor to be an eloquent individual immersed with a wealth of knowledge it useless, if they do not frequently follow up with their students. It needs "regular maintenance" in car analogy. For me i guess a tutor is not just there to teach a simple or complex topic from a specific subject but a tutor can be helpful in guiding what career a student can opt and values like respect for elders and for their own self which i guess are way more important in life than any subject or topic. My strength is that i encourage students to learn a…

The most important things a tutor can do is to be encouraging and patient! A lot of students may dislike sciences for the reasons they have been taught. I believe a tutor is a person who is there to support, guide and encourage students to not just settle for an easy answer but question and discover new things. I believe tutors should allow students to embrace their mistakes and learn from them, and use their failures as experiences. I try different methods with students who are unable to grasp a…

A tutor can first start by welcoming their student and getting to know them in order to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. This will make it easier for the tutor to better understand the student, but also easier for the student to freely ask questions.

the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student, is to teach the how to learn content, it is to teach them to be self sufficient, switched on and motivated. It is to make the canvas blank before filling it with knowledge that is new and unknown. My ideology for tutoring is to teach a kid how to learn and then make him or her learn it. I…
Being able to spark a passion in an area which might go on to stay with them for the rest of their lives. Laura has definitely gotten Diana to a great start. She eagerly anticipates her tutoring and is seeming to take more interest in Maths especially in the strands that she did not feel very confident about.
Diana has told me that Laura's explanations are easily understood and is simplified which makes it easy to remember. She also explains various strategies that can be used for problem solving which is good for time management when attempting to solve problems in class. Diana is able to use the notes taken during tutoring in class which is assisting with her understanding of the relevant strand or concept.
Things are going really well. Emily is a lovely young woman who has engaged well with my daughter. Tia feels comfortable with her and is learning new skills. It is great.
Thanks once again for such wonderful service and professionalism. It is such a change to receive follow up and genuine interest in the service provided . Your company is to be commended!!
We asked for assistance on a short term basis to help with some exam preparation. Our tutor was quickly able to assess our daughter's capability and provide practical assistance with problem solving and techniques.
Most importantly the tutor instilled real confidence in our daughter's ability, offering encouragement, support and reinforcement all the way. We would not hesitate to contact Ezy Math for our future needs.
