Free a student from the preconceived notions of their subject and the negative thoughts they hold, enabling them to experience and thus enjoy it in a whole different way. About making them feel comfortable yet challenged, engaging them as adults on an equal level rather than a traditional student. Being kind and responsible. Patience, ability to…
Ensure they understand, enjoy and pass their subject. Good understanding of the subject and the ability to deliver in a manner that my students understand and enjoy…
A tutor needs to be able to understand where the student is academically, what they currently understand and what holes they have in their knowledge. They are not a teacher, but are there to help reinforce and strengthen what their teacher is currently going over. A tutor should be helping the student to understand the content through linking…
To understand that students aren’t going to magically understand concepts they have been struggling with for a while. It’s important that tutors don’t put pressure into students to hurry up and understand as that will only cause more stress. If the student doesn’t understand, it’s up to the tutor to re-word themselves and explain the…
Giving the student the self-confidence and self-esteem that they can accomplish their work and work out the solutions to problems, with guidance.
A lot of students are under stress these days, and if I can help to allievate their stress a little, that would make me feel like I have also accomplished something important. My strengths would be…
I think that teachers have to give time and give their best for kids.Teachers have to motivate every child so that children can achieve their goals easily. My strengths are Hardworking, motivating, team work, Active, smart, convincing and time management. I can take extra burden and work extra time for kids…
Most important thing would be to know what the goal of the student is and help them and support them in achieving their goal in a friendly environment. A tutor should be able to offer many different explanations so that the student has a better chance of understanding a particular concept. Most important is to make the student feel at ease and be…
I think it is important for a tutor to help students feel engaged and motivated towards the subject they are learning which can be achieved through an upbeat and cooperative environment. As a tutor, there should always be a focus on encouraging students especially at times they may feel demotivated. By maintaining a positive attitude and patience,…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is be patient and listen to what they aren't understanding. Also to be able to identify that is a student isn't understanding a concept then the tutor needs to be able to recognise this and try to explain it to them in a different way. I think my strengths as a tutor are that I am a very…
To be able to appreciate the individuality of each student, that each student learns differently. Moreover, to be able to adapt to different students' weaknesses and strengths. I have experience at babysitting and tutoring so I'm patient and I am able to connect to a wide range of age groups. I'm an effective communicator which can be seen through…
Be a good friend with the student first.
Teach him as if he his friend is teaching him.
Be strict at a times when he is not listening but its good for him so its ok to be strict sometimes. I catch the loop hole of the child where he has maximum tendency to make mistakes. So that I can focus on that main area. I am a very friendly teacher and…
Students are different from each other, some are fast learner while others are the opposite. As a tutor, I think its important to deliver a lesson that is easy to comprehend regardless of how academic the students are. I am more to lean to visual than texts. Since one of my hobbies is drawing, I would use this skill to deliver visual aid to…
Help the student completely understand the concepts at hand. I personally don't believe anyone can inherently be "bad at math". If anything, they just take longer to understand than others. As long as they possess enough willpower to do so, anything is possible.
Another thing is that a student must leave the session learning something new. I am…
I consider the most important things that the tutor can do is to pass the passion and interest in the subject to student, so that even I don't teach them anymore, they can still find the motivation to learn and explore new things related to that subject. In addition, the tutor should have the ability to communicate in a easy to understand way and…
A good tutor should give to every student:
1- an understanding of the principles in the material; 2- the tools to tackle the material with confidence - typically inductive or deductive reasoning; and 3- an appreciation for the subject. As a homeschool parent I'm always learning new ways to teach STEM.
Now semi-retired, I'm a mathematician…
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is provide personalised support and guidance to meet each student's unique needs. Help them to grow and gain knowledge I believe my strengths as a tutor are my patience, ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way, and my dedication to helping my students reach their…
I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to impart a confidence in the students ability to study and apply knowledge, and to guide them toward understanding the important concepts of the subjects they choose. I think my strengths as a tutor would be identifying key aspects of processes and methods, and relaying these back…
Support them to realise the progress being made and that they have the ability to improve and achieve.
Good IT skills and subject knowledge. Patient, kind, motivated and enthusiastic.
Identifying strengths and weaknesses and closing…
Helping the students to achieve their goal especially those area where they are having difficulty. I am knowlegeable about the things that I am sharing with the children that I will be tutoring especially in my area of…
I believe encouragement is the most important thing a tutor can do. By focusing on what they have achieved rather then what they haven't, the children can gain a sense of self worth and achievement, making them more likely to want to learn more. By always being there to support them through difficult content, a tutor can develop trust with the…
we are very pleased with the tutoring sessions Mario is providing. His tutoring has made a significant improvement to our daughters maths grades and has helped to increase our daughter's confidence with maths which she struggled with previously. He is also very patient, polite and punctual.
Definitely i would say that Lamia is a great Tutor and is tutoring Krintel really well, she is quite comfortable with Lamia and is surely getting support from her which she has been waiting for.
Thanks once again for introducing Lamia to us.
So far so good. The kids are actually enjoying their time with Agnes so that's s good sign. Jaren came out of last weeks tutorial session saying "well you learn something new everyday".
It just gives them more confidence with mathematical concepts, I think they're getting something out of it.
Thank you.
