The most important thing a tutor can do for their student is support them in all aspects of their life, not just academia. By doing this, you build a strong yet professional relationship with the student, where there is mutual respect and trust. Following this, students are more inclined to listen, do homework and work hard. My strengths as a…

Covering topics before or after it is done in school, understanding complex topics can be quite difficult, a repetition of the topic or the topic being taught from a different perspective or using different methods will enable the student to develop an extensive knowledge of the topic. Due to the fact that what is taught in school may not always…

Encouragement/Motivation. The effort you put in may not always be reflected in the marks you receive, so often people lose motivation at the site of this. As a tutor it is important to highlight the things that the student did well in as well as the areas they can improve upon. Encouragement and motivation can help the student(s) push through…

Local Reviews

Communication is great between the company and myself. My only comment is that I don't take enough time to evaluate what is sent to me which of course in my problem. Nathan, the tutor we have for our grandson is fantastic, he has helped him gain a much better understanding of his maths and already his exam results has demonstrated an improvement. Dylan is working towards achieving a high result in his HSC and his year eleven results are looking good.

Inside Padstow HeightsTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 11 student James focused on revising algebra and the Pythagoras theorem, reinforcing problem-solving through targeted practice.

For Year 12, Nahyan worked on calculus questions from Sydney Grammar's 2020 Trials paper and reviewed areas of difficulty from her recent exam.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Sophia tackled probability concepts with and without replacement, using step-by-step examples to clarify differences between each scenario.

Recent Challenges

A Year 11 student in Physics and Maths was observed not consistently recalling key formulae or algebraic identities from memory, making it harder to tackle exam-style questions under time pressure—"he needs to commit a couple of important formulae/identities to memory."

In senior years, another student switched from challenging trigonometry problems to easier practice, missing exposure to trickier applications.

Meanwhile, a Year 6 learner left some working unrecorded in BODMAS problems; when errors occurred, there was no written trail to review. This led to repeated corrections during sessions rather than smooth progress into new material.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Padstow Heights recently noticed a big shift with Jacob (Year 12), who previously hesitated on tough calculus but now works through challenging integration and differentiation problems almost independently, even tackling past exam questions without freezing up.

In Year 11, Nahyan started pausing to check her own mistakes rather than waiting for hints—she completed a whole set of trig and integration questions solo and quickly corrected any errors herself.

Meanwhile, one younger student who used to struggle with times tables is now recalling them accurately during lessons, moving on to worded multiplication problems without stopping to count.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Very happy with John.  Would like Jackson to have more lessons with him but can't get Jackson to agree to it as yet!  Working on him.  May ask John to help out with science and possibly English as well in the future if he has time.

Ezy maths tutoring was just what we were after for Zena. We tried a couple of other tutoring companies before ezy maths tutoring but one we had to travel to to get there and the other offered us a young and inexperienced tutor, tutoring is more than knowing about the subject it is being able to teach it. Ezy maths tutoring offered us with everything we were looking for, reasonable pricing, at home tutoring and of course an excellent tutor. We found 'Tara' to be patient and understanding and Zena went from a D to getting B's and C's. We were very happy, thanks to Tara and ezy maths tutoring.

I decided to look for work as a tutor as I had time to spare and "fresh" knowledge that I thought I could share with students who wanted to do better. After being hired by two companies simultaneously, one being Ezy Math Tutoring, I would only have time to work for one of them. The decision to chose this company was easy as Ezy Math Tutoring provided greater support for its tutors. This included better pay, feedback, education on how to become a great tutor and a friendly group of people who were there to contact if I had any queries or if I needed help. The best thing about being a tutor was that I was able to dramatically improve the clients and their child's outlook on their education within a few weeks just by being there and providing a familiar face that knew how to help. I would definitely recommend Ezy Math Tutoring to any aspiring tutors and I thank them for the privilege of working as a tutor for the business.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Padstow Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Padstow Heights Public School.
