Local Reviews

Since the v first session with Radu, we were all totally hooked! He is not just the BEST tutor but the most amazing person. Radu has the ability to calmly install confidence into his students and ensure that they fully understand all the concepts, not just learn them. He is kind, professional and a honest joy to have around ??

Inside PlainlandTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Emily focused on overtime pay, penalty rates, and order of operations, including sharing her reflections on PSMT assessment challenges.

Year 8 student Jasmine practised graphing linear equations and revisited simultaneous equations to strengthen algebra skills.

For Year 10, Jacob reviewed bivariate data analysis by interpreting scatter plots and explored using Excel for predicting trends as part of his PSMT assessment preparation.

Recent Challenges

In Year 10, one student's exam preparation was held back by incomplete revision notes—"I had to keep checking that she is recording these," the tutor observed after a lesson where memory alone was relied on instead of structured note-taking.

In Year 12, missed or unfinished homework meant practice with PSMT assessments was limited, so new strategies for autonomous work are now needed.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 student struggled to recall division steps without written working, leading to confusion in calculating means.

When notebooks are forgotten (Year 8), feedback can't be checked, and learning from mistakes gets delayed.

Recent Achievements

One Plainland tutor noticed a Year 10 student who used to skip writing out maths solutions is now carefully showing each step on paper, making her thinking much clearer during sessions.

In Year 11, Emily—who previously lost nearly all marks on a mock test due to confusion between operations—is now double-checking her work and catching errors herself, especially with algebra and proportions.

Another high schooler, Ivy, recently tackled practice tax calculations independently after needing help before; she finished the set without prompting and even explained her reasoning out loud as she worked through the problems.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

My experience with ezymaths was one like a rollercoaster that ended on a high note. What's special about ezymaths is that you will find support and there will be teaching material and teaching strategies available if you get stuck. Overall, as a tutor, you will learn a lot more than you will expect.

For establishing tutors, Ezy Math provides a solid support base to springboard them into the market. Not only does it take out the stress of sourcing and securing clients, but the CEP modules ensure the constant engagement of the learning styles of the tutor, and make it clear that all manner of support is available for those who need it. This programme really sets Ezy Math apart from other services, and allows tutors to blossom into confident, experienced mentors. The in-home service really does provide a unique experience for clients, which they truly appreciate. It also helps to make a clear distinction in students' minds between the lessons offered at school, to the very different style of education tutors have to produce. For all prospective tutors, Ezy Math is a great way to grow comfortable within the industry. Through the guidance of Ezy Math it has been a joy to watch students develop a real confidence because of my tutelage.

I just wanted to express my thanks to you and my son's tutor Sam. With his assistance Grady improved his maths results from virtually failing the subject to achieving a very respectable B + for his end of year  11 final grade. Sam was personable and patient, encouraging and motivating. Even though my son has decided not to continue studying maths in year  12 , I am delighted with the results he was able to achieve ,and the confidence and self- belief he attained. Please pass these comments on to Sam. Again, thank you so much.
