The most important things that I can do for a student would be to be understanding towards students, be able to improvise, adapt and overcome certain situations in order to be able to teach a student and be able to be the best tutor I can be so I can provide them with good material to have a in-depth understanding in the subject I am tutoring. My belief is that the most important things a tutor can do for a student is remain resilient, provide constant affirmation and teach in a way that is compatible with their learning style. I believe self-esteem and encouragement are two of the most important aspects of learning within a student, and in order for them to perform to the best of their…

The most significant things that a tutor can do for a student is having a friendly relationship, being adaptive, patient and communicating clearly and concisely. A good tutor knows how to encourage their student to keep pushing and doing their best but a best tutor knows how to adapt to something a student cannot do and then transform those…

In my perspective the best thing the tutor can do for the student is to understand the child completely, make a good bond with them and help them to learn infinite things. My strengths as a teacher are I understand the child by the face expressions, my teaching concept is pretty much strong and before teaching any child I make sure to plan the…

I have found in my experience at school that the subjects I enjoyed most are the ones where my teacher was also very passionate, not only about the subject itself, but also eager to help us learn. I think a passion for the subject, as well as a passion for teaching, is the most important thing a tutor has to possess in order to teach their…

A tutor's main focus should be on helping the student improve their abilities and assisting them in overcoming their weaknesses. Good communication and a good understanding are essential aspects in ensuring a tutor is able to focus on the student's weaknesses and help them improve in the areas they most need to work on. Most importantly, a tutor…

Explain. If a tutor can explain a concept in a way a student can understand and then is able to remember it and be able to apply it, the tutor has succeeded in his role. Also being able to listen to students, as a tutor should be able to find small mistakes and correct them as questions require perfection to some degree to achieve maximum marks.…

A tutor can help a student to gain confidence. Usually students lose confidence and thus lose interest in a subject. Mathematics, being really important for career opportunities, is an interesting subject, we just need the right support at the right time and that's what tutors are there for. Confidence and hard work is the key to succeed in any…

The most important things tutors can do is to be enthusiastic and engaging about the subject their teaching their student because this then allows students to believe too, that the subject they're learning is not boring or bad. Moreover, tutors must have confidence in their student in succeeding and doing well, in which the Pygmalion effect proves…

Few viable things which a tutor can do to help the students are: a) Deliver to them motivational thoughts and constantly encouraging them to do well. b) Critically thinking about any difficulty which might pose a hurdle in the pathway of student's learning and bring-forth ways to mitigate it. The most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to build self confince and self belief in themselves. Local Reviews

My daughter is happy with our decision to use EzyMaths Tutoring. She was struggling studying year 11 maths by distance learning, but she is catching up now she has a tutor. Her tutor is helpful and knowledgeable.
Susan, Quakers Hill

Inside Quakers HillTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Joshua focused on long division, counting backwards, and solving word problems involving simple algebra.

In Year 11, Joshua reviewed the gas laws—including Boyle's Law and Charles' Law—using practice questions and addressed school worksheet corrections.

For Year 12 Chemistry, Joshua explored equilibrium concepts such as Le Chatelier's Principle and factors affecting equilibrium, with emphasis on interpreting related graphs and applying these ideas to exam-style questions.

Recent Challenges

In Year 11 Chemistry, a tendency to rely on mental calculations—"since Joshua really enjoys using mental maths"—meant that important working steps were skipped, making it harder to catch errors in percentage composition questions.

Notes also showed that starting assignments and reports late (Year 12) led to rushed submissions and missed opportunities for tutor feedback.

For junior levels (Year 4), unfinished homework slowed progress into more advanced multiplication and division tasks.

During algebra sessions (Year 7), frustration sometimes interrupted critical thinking, especially when integrating fractions or handling worded problems.

Missed revision meant time was spent reteaching rather than deepening understanding.

Recent Achievements

One Quakers Hill tutor noticed a big shift in a Year 11 student who now openly asks for help when stuck on tough chemistry topics, instead of staying quiet—he even took the lead choosing which school assignment experiments to pursue and started work well before the due date.

In Year 10 maths, another student who once hesitated with harder questions now regularly corrects her own mistakes without prompting and can answer challenging problems independently.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner has begun solving time word problems in her head, something she previously avoided trying aloud.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

I am very happy with Erin's progress, Cassie has been a great help and she communicates with Erin well , which has seen Erin progressing to a higher grade.

We could not be happier with MinJae as Adam's tutor!! Adam fist pumped the air after MinJae left last week (second session) and informed me he "absolutely loved" the session. He suits Adam perfectly and I often hear them laughing during the sessions. Adam was very comfortable with MinJae from the first session and we are truly grateful to have found him; he is polite, patient and generous with his time, not to mention extremely good at explaining mathematical processes. As a result Adam's understanding of maths has grown exponentially.

Priya has made a very positive start with her tutoring with Abdullah. He is very good at explaining concepts and seemed to understand Priya's needs very quickly. We are very happy with Abdullah.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Stanhope Garden Library/ Dennis Johnson Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Wyndham College.
