Personal relation. The feeling of not annoying the teacher but the teacher being there for them even if the student asks the same question multiple times. To be a part of their result for example if they pass to try to be a part of their happiness and if they are unable to achieve the result they intend to then to try to be comforting and motivate…

Impart upon a student not knowledge per se, but rather a desire to expand their own knowledge through self-directed learning. Learning and education should be a lifelong process, not one that ends when an individual completes their primary vocational education. Learning makes us grow and develop and look at things in different ways, and the desire…

Relating to my strengths as an economics tutor, I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is giving a thorough and concise explanation of every single concept to a student, in a way that isn't only just memorizing, but also using their own logic and thought process to understand and learn on their own as they go. The role of an economics tutor in a student's education is both significant and multifaceted. A tutor , much like a teacher , should not only help to suppllicate the teachings that one receives in school , but also to establish a relationship with the student to help them learn the basic etiquttes of life and also to provide them a new perspective of life ,for which they may not be able to comprehend at this time. A tutor should also…

Inside Queens ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 5 student Hannah practised long division and worked through geometry problems on perimeter and area using diagrams for clarity.

For Year 8, Jacob focused on algebraic expansion as well as revising school homework that included basic triangle angle calculations.

Meanwhile, in Year 10, Michael strengthened his understanding of trigonometric identities by tackling proofs from Modules 9B to 9D and solving related questions step-by-step.

Recent Challenges

Several process-related habits have emerged across grades.

In Year 8 algebra, "she forgot everything taught before"—showing how a lack of regular revision and not responding to feedback left gaps that later sessions had to revisit from scratch.

For a senior student preparing for OLNA, reliance on calculators was noted; this limited her ability to use mental strategies and slowed progress when calculators weren't permitted.

In Year 11 vectors, skipping over challenging problems rather than attempting proofs meant less confidence with complex exam questions: as one tutor observed, "she needs support in proving equations and hashing the wordings of the problem."

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Queens Park noticed Anele, a high school student, has started independently translating complex word problems into mathematical equations—something he struggled with just weeks ago.

Seren, also in high school, now prepares her own list of trigonometric identities before sessions and chooses tougher questions to solve on her own initiative.

Meanwhile, a Year 3 student who was previously unsure about the meaning of "add" can now confidently use the plus sign and add two- and three-digit numbers after practicing visualization techniques.

Last week, Seren finished an advanced set of equations using both sine and cosine laws without any prompting.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

For establishing tutors, Ezy Math provides a solid support base to springboard them into the market. Not only does it take out the stress of sourcing and securing clients, but the CEP modules ensure the constant engagement of the learning styles of the tutor, and make it clear that all manner of support is available for those who need it. This programme really sets Ezy Math apart from other services, and allows tutors to blossom into confident, experienced mentors. The in-home service really does provide a unique experience for clients, which they truly appreciate. It also helps to make a clear distinction in students' minds between the lessons offered at school, to the very different style of education tutors have to produce. For all prospective tutors, Ezy Math is a great way to grow comfortable within the industry. Through the guidance of Ezy Math it has been a joy to watch students develop a real confidence because of my tutelage.

I just wanted to express my thanks to you and my son's tutor Sam. With his assistance Grady improved his maths results from virtually failing the subject to achieving a very respectable B + for his end of year  11 final grade. Sam was personable and patient, encouraging and motivating. Even though my son has decided not to continue studying maths in year  12 , I am delighted with the results he was able to achieve ,and the confidence and self- belief he attained. Please pass these comments on to Sam. Again, thank you so much.

All good so far, both Will and I are very happy with Ben. He is good value. Highly recommend him.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Cannington Public Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Queens Park Primary School.
