Physics Tutor Camden, NSW
Give them confidence in their own ability and control over their learning experience. I have a good grasp of concepts and feel I am able to express them clearly and simply. I have a strong background in working with children, especially primary school and mid-lower highschool. I am currently studying electrical engineering at…

Physics Tutor Camden South, NSW
One of the most important things a physics tutor can do for a student is to not only focus on assessment performance, but to help a student to love learning. I have recognised that merely rote learning and constantly completing practice questions can only allow a student to improve so far- a student must have interest in what they are learning and…

A fantastic tutor for my 14yo son. So patient, makes the lessons fun and doesn't mind going over things again and again until he understands. Highly recommended

Inside RazorbackTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Lily focused on long addition, subtraction, and division, as well as rounding numbers and multiplying/dividing by 10 using practical examples.

For Year 9, Michael tackled data dot plots alongside stem-and-leaf plots, and reviewed key skills in calculating surface area of cylinders.

In Year 12, Sarah worked through mathematical induction proofs before applying max and min techniques to past HSC questions for advanced problem-solving practice.

Recent Challenges

In Year 7 mathematics, incomplete revision before a geometry test left gaps—"did not review it before her test, only had one week before"—so important methods weren't fully consolidated.

A Year 9 student avoided making summary sheets for algebra and inequalities, meaning key steps were missed when working through complex problems.

In senior calculus (Year 12), "needs to work on recognising differentiation rules," but the habit of practicing only familiar examples slowed progress on harder integration questions during timed exercises.

When homework or set exercises were skipped, students entered lessons less prepared and needed more time just to catch up.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Razorback noticed a Year 10 student who previously hesitated to ask for help now regularly speaks up when stuck, making far fewer mistakes in her algebra work.

Another high schooler, after struggling with trig identities, started applying the process of elimination independently and managed to prove several on his own last session.

In Year 4 maths, one student who used to guess at long multiplication problems has begun using written steps and asks for clarification when unsure, showing more accuracy each week. Last lesson, he completed all ten questions without guessing once.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

So far Adriana has only had the 2 lessons because Aathi had to cancel an appointment and we couldn't have a lesson this past Monday because of school holidays so this Monday we're having 2 lessons to try and catch up . Adriana absolutely loves Aathi which surprised me because she hates maths but he's won her over already so I have a good feeling about this. thankyou

We are very happy with Anh and her tutoring of Lana.  We are taking a break over the school holidays and public holiday but will be back into it in a couple of weeks. Anh was very generous with her time leading up to Lana's last exam and although not anticipated given the short lead up time, her results improved. It's been a great decision for us to set the foundations for Lana with senior maths.

Afra has met with Jasmine once so far as we have had the holidays. I think it went really well and Jasmine is actually looking froward to her next lesson this Saturday.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Wollondilly Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Cawdor Public School.
