Students can ask as many times as they want, and the tutor can answer them wisely with more detail. Tutor help to push the student towards success in their academic score. Students and tutors should have transparent relationships so that students can feel free to express their questions. A tutor can correct any misunderstandings, give supportive…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide guidance and support to help the student reach their academic goals. This may include providing study tips and strategies, helping the student stay organized and motivated, and providing a safe, nonjudgmental environment where the student can ask questions and receive feedback.…

For me, the most important thing as a tutor is acknowledge and care students. On top of that, communication and cooperation with students can help each other. Overall, hardwork and course plan can pave the way to a successful tutor. I am easy going, hardworking, honest and eager to learn new methods. As a tutor, my first approach is to prepare…

I believe tutor should make learning as simplistic as possible by relating the learning into real life on their applicability and usefulness to appreciate and making learning interesting and enjoyable. As a tutor, I relate philosophical aspects to the subject of teaching and in the process build strong psychology of the life and the subject I…

I think one of the most important things is friendly behaviour with students. If the tutor gets familiar with students, then students can explain their studies problem. Firstly, I love to take face to face class where I can interact with students and can know their level. Secondly, I always start with basic formulas and then slowly proceeding to…

It is all about knowing the audience. Not all kids/students have the same skillset, some are good in memorizing, some are good in analogy, some are good in logic and arithmetic. So it's about knowing their strengths and align it in a way that it would enhance their ability to learn. I am very dynamic and very patient in terms of tutoring, the…

Local Reviews

Ziada has a lovely manner, and is a pleasure to have here tutor my year 9 son in maths. She is calm and softly spoken, which has been a perfect match for us. I love the way she lets my son have a go and talk through the problem, and what he knows, before leaping in with an explanation. This gives my son the opportunity to just nod and say he understand without actually understanding! She is very knowledgeable, encouraging and patient. And my son always feels good at the end of the session. Her communication is impeccable. Very timely and friendly. She has been very understanding when we got caught up and had to move our time. I would highly recommend Ziada to anyone ?

Inside RichardsonTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Eva practised measuring angles using a protractor and revisited percentage questions, with extra focus on correcting mistakes.

For Year 8, Noah tackled surface area and volume problems for prisms and cylinders, working through calculations step by step.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Sarah focused on solving quadratic equations both by factorising and applying the quadratic formula to a range of practice examples.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student hadn't completed any extra revision before an upcoming exam, which meant opportunities to build independent study habits were missed—"she hadn't done any extra revision for her exam since the last session."

In Year 11, lesson planning and preparation remained inconsistent; a tutor noted sessions often began without clear goals, making it harder to target weaknesses.

Meanwhile, a Year 7 student's solutions were sometimes messy and hard to follow in algebra problems, leading to confusion when reviewing errors.

In primary maths, incomplete homework was common, with one child getting most questions wrong at home but then solving them correctly together in-session. This suggests significant gaps in independent problem-solving or confidence outside of tutoring support.

Recent Achievements

One Richardson tutor noticed a Year 11 student who previously struggled with quadratic graphs quickly grasp how changing variables shifts their shape, and he now asks more questions to deepen his understanding.

In a recent high school English session, another student became much more descriptive in her narrative essays, moving from brief sentences to richer detail after focused practice.

Meanwhile, a younger learner gained real independence using a protractor—she's now consistently measuring angles correctly on her own, where she used to hesitate and ask for help each time before tackling an angle-measuring question.
