Economics Tutor Hobart, TAS
Most important things I can do for a student is to ensure whether the student has actually understood the topic or not. I will patiently understand the doubts of a student to identify the weak area of a student and make a plan to strengthen those areas. My strength as a tutor is to clearly explain the logic behind the method used and majorly focus…

William is excited as he is learning more with Bailey than with his math's teacher. Baileys methods are easy to follow and very helpful. Bailey is always on time and puts in 110%. After every session, you can see the smile on William's face and his new found confidence. We are very impressed and very lucky to have Bailey tutor William.

Inside Rosny ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 5 student Scarlett focused on using Greek and Latin roots in vocabulary, then practised applying prefixes and suffixes within sentences.

Year 11 student Aimee revised key Chemistry concepts including stoichiometry—especially mole-mass conversions—and completed practice questions on organic compound naming.

Meanwhile, Year 12 student Charli worked through exam-style Biology questions on the adaptive immune system and recapped CRISPR-Cas9 gene technology principles to consolidate her understanding for upcoming assessments.

Recent Challenges

In Year 10 Chemistry, Aimee tended to become overwhelmed by complex questions, sometimes overcomplicating answers or missing key details when under exam pressure. As one tutor noted, "breaking down the question into smaller parts helped her refocus."

In Year 8 English, Scarlett often rushed through reading aloud and skipped words, leading to misunderstandings in tasks like sentence structure analysis. When drafting creative pieces, she hesitated to start writing due to perfectionism—dot-point brainstorming was suggested as a workaround.

Meanwhile, Cameron (Year 7) needed reminders to slow down and clarify subject identification in grammar exercises; hasty responses resulted in recurring confusion.

Recent Achievements

One Rosny Park tutor noticed a real shift with Aimee, a Year 12 student, who now consistently asks clarifying questions when she's unsure—where previously she tended to stay quiet and try to push through on her own.

Charli, also in high school, was able to pinpoint exactly which parts of new biology material were confusing for her and then demonstrated improved understanding once those areas were addressed together.

Meanwhile, Cameron from Year 7 recently wrote a creative short story with enthusiasm and readily accepted feedback to improve their grammar and punctuation.
