The most important thing would be finding his students best learning methods and tutoring accordingly. This ensures that the particular needs are met and areas of deficiency addressed. Local Reviews

We have had two tutors with EzyMaths and they have both worked very well with my daughter. My daughter finds the sessions fun and has performed better at school. Tina, especially has planned the lessons well and was always punctual.

Inside South BathurstTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Ava worked through expanding and solving equations with brackets in algebra, as well as simplifying and factorising expressions.

For Year 10, Jack focused on the stages of meiosis in biology after reviewing class topics to target areas needing extra support.

Meanwhile, Year 7 student Felix began basic algebra by practising powers and also reviewed a previous assignment to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student struggled to show clear working when rearranging algebraic equations, often erasing and rewriting steps—she wanted every line perfect, which slowed her down on multi-step problems.

In Year 10 financial maths, mistakes with interest calculations persisted because earlier feedback wasn't always revisited before moving forward.

Meanwhile, a Year 6 learner avoided asking for help with challenging division tasks, leading to repeated confusion over remainders and slowing progress on later topics.

In senior Biology, one student had trouble recalling key terminology from previous lessons; without active review between sessions, important concepts slipped away by the following week.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in South Bathurst noticed one Year 11 student who used to struggle with trigonometric ratios is now able to solve unknown side problems mostly unaided, even explaining her reasoning out loud—a big step from needing frequent prompts before.

In a Year 10 biology session, another student distinguished clearly between meiosis and mitosis, confidently identifying their stages and genetic significance after previously mixing up the two.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 learner who would hesitate to correct mistakes now actively reviews errors in area calculations and tries different approaches until she finds where she went wrong.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Our tutor, Amy, came to our place yesterday for my son's first session.  Thought I'd give you a bit of feedback.........she was lovely, had been keeping in touch beforehand, and Alex seemed to show signs of much improved motivation !! She clearly is experienced in tutoring students and at this very early stage I think we're off to a great start.

I have some results to report. Wari has sat three tests in the last week or so, the results are: Maths - 95.5%; Chemistry - 100%; Economics - 77% (no coaching in this subject). We are very happy with these results, especially the chemistry one as she has had the most trouble with that subject. Last week, before the Friday chemistry test they did two hours on chemistry, she found the lessons very hard, but the following test very straight forward. In the maths test, she actually did all the calculations correctly but lost marks for rounding an answer incorrectly and rounding a couple of other answers when she shouldn't have! We are very happy with Alexander's teaching, although we are not sitting in the room, he sounds very clear and concise. Another very important thing to consider  is that she is very happy with her results and is gaining more self confidence, and, I think, is generally more relaxed and happy with life.

More importantly, I want to let you know that Hannah, Peter and I are very happy with Phal - she's super smart, friendly and a great communicator.  She's lifted Hannah's confidence within a few short weeks and, circumstances permitting, we look forward to a long and productive tutoring association with her.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Bathurst Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like St Philomena's Catholic Primary School Bathurst.
