We are happy with Lara after our first few sessions as my son is now completing his homework without prompting from us!Alex
Year 8 student Oliver reviewed algebra exam questions, focusing on **equations** and careful handling of negative signs.
Year 10 student Ethan tackled linear equations through worksheets, practicing **algebraic manipulation** and solving for unknowns.
For a younger learner in Year 4, measurement was explored by working out **area and perimeter problems** using real-world examples.
Forgetting to bring the textbook and calculator repeatedly slowed progress—"he arrived without his workbook again, so we couldn't review last week's trigonometry errors."
Missed lessons and lack of communication about absences left gaps in preparation for algebra tests.
In Year 5, over-reliance on mental maths led to mistakes with time and date questions because steps weren't shown on paper.
During primary revision, messy handwriting made it difficult to check multiplication work; this meant extra time was spent just deciphering answers instead of practicing new concepts.
One St Helens Park tutor recently saw a Year 11 student who used to hesitate with simultaneous equations now solve them independently, no prompting needed.
In another session, a Year 10 student came in with her own set of questions and showed much more initiative—she even filled her notebook with working steps instead of waiting for guidance like before.
Meanwhile, a primary schooler who'd struggled to remember multiplication tables could recall most facts on the spot and completed all assigned homework without reminders.
The high school student finished a challenging SOHCAHTOA problem solo after previously relying heavily on hints.
As our company name suggests, we want to make tutoring "Ezy" for parents, students and tutors! We're super passionate about education and especially about maths. Helping a student reach levels of accomplishment that were previously unknown changes their life and sets them up for long term success. It's a "feel good" experience for the student, for parents...and of course for us! Our testimonials are the inspiration that keep us going through hard times. Tutoring works well when it is consistent, reliable, flexible and easy to manage ... otherwise, for a combination of reasons, we don't get the impact we want.
So here's how the service works: We will organise for a local maths tutor in St Helens Park to reach out to you and organise the time and day for the lesson. The tutor comes to you. You can have the tutoring as often or as little as you like. There are no booking fees or "extras" of any sort. You simply get an invoice at the end of each month for the tuition time used. Best of all, your first lesson works as a trial, so if for some reason the tutor isn't a good fit for your family, you won't be charged for that lesson!
