Geography Tutor Bomaderry, NSW
Being patient, encouraging and compassionate to students, particularly those who struggle to grasp content, have learning difficulties and those that suffer from anxiety. Also, being an enthusiastic tutor is important to engage students in their learning and to make mundane topics seem more interesting. I am knowledgeable in my subject areas and…

Local Reviews

The whole process of one phone call and then a math tutor was found that fitted my daughter's level of requirement perfectly within days of the initial call. The follow up process has also been excellent. This process was to see if the allocated tutor matched my daughter's needs. I have also been included in the feedback process from the tutor to show the targets achieved each session, a totally positive experience focusing on the student's need and achievements made. I cannot find any fault with Ezymath tutoring.

Inside TapitalleeTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Sophie worked through **ratios and simplifying ratio problems**, then practised converting rates into different units for real-life applications.

In Year 10, Ethan focused on **graphing quadratic and exponential functions**, as well as using algebra to solve linear equations.

For Year 11, Marcus tackled the **ambiguous case of the Sine Rule in trigonometry** and revised transformations of graphs, with plenty of practice sketching and interpreting function changes.

Recent Challenges

In Year 8, one student's tendency to write working in a cramped, unstructured way—especially when solving real-world ratio problems—made it difficult to spot errors or track units. "He sometimes left out steps in multi-mark questions," as noted by a tutor, which led to marks lost for incomplete reasoning.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 student tackling HSC finance and trigonometry relied heavily on memorised rules rather than understanding underlying concepts; this became apparent during complex graphing tasks and interpreting loan scenarios. The struggle to confidently attempt harder exam-level problems lingered after initial setbacks, leaving gaps in revision progress before assessments.

Recent Achievements

A Tapitallee tutoring session saw Andrea, a senior student, take real ownership of her exam mistakes—she could pinpoint where she'd gone wrong and explained why another approach would work better.

Laaibah, in Year 10, moved from needing step-by-step help with networks to answering minimum spanning tree questions independently and tackling critical path problems without prompting.

Meanwhile, one younger student who used to skip working out for ratio questions now shows every calculation clearly on the page instead of just guessing the answer.

Last week, Andrea confidently sketched trigonometric graphs with changing periods after struggling to visualise these transformations before.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

I am very happy with Erin's progress, Cassie has been a great help and she communicates with Erin well , which has seen Erin progressing to a higher grade.

We could not be happier with MinJae as Adam's tutor!! Adam fist pumped the air after MinJae left last week (second session) and informed me he "absolutely loved" the session. He suits Adam perfectly and I often hear them laughing during the sessions. Adam was very comfortable with MinJae from the first session and we are truly grateful to have found him; he is polite, patient and generous with his time, not to mention extremely good at explaining mathematical processes. As a result Adam's understanding of maths has grown exponentially.

Priya has made a very positive start with her tutoring with Abdullah. He is very good at explaining concepts and seemed to understand Priya's needs very quickly. We are very happy with Abdullah.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Nowra (Central) Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Cambewarra Public School.
