Legal Studies Tutor Ferntree Gully, VIC
Listen to the students and there needs. Also communicating clearly the topics students want help with and not avoiding or judging the student when they need extra help I\'ve always found it easy to explain in another way a topic that might be considered…

Legal Studies Tutor Ferntree Gully, VIC
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen. A tutor's job is not to just teach the student, but to bring out the best of the student and a tutor cannot do that unless they listen to the student. A good tutor is not a tutor that had achieved exceedingly well themselves, although that is a part of it- it's about their ability…

Local Reviews

My son Logan McDonald has been having tutoring with Sunny for the past few months. We have found Sunny to be very professional in his manner and has taught Logan some valuable studying skills as well as some necessary maths concepts.

Inside The PatchTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 5 student Daniel worked on area and perimeter calculations, practiced addition and subtraction with larger numbers, and reinforced times tables using flashcards for recall.

In Year 10, Vien focused on planning a practice essay by developing ideas and a main argument to strengthen her persuasive writing skills.

For Year 11, Tanya revised algebraic fractions and prepared for an upcoming SAC by correcting homework errors and working through practice content relevant to linear algebra topics.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student preparing for essay writing often left planning until the last minute, resulting in rushed introductions and weak conclusions—"he needs to plan his writing faster," a tutor observed.

In VCE English, one student avoided revisiting challenging literary analysis questions, instead sticking to familiar topics, which meant deeper techniques weren't practiced or reviewed before SACs.

For Year 7 Maths, forgetting to label diagrams led to lost marks under test conditions.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 student skipped homework practice on exam-style questions; this made recall during assessments much slower and less confident.

Recent Achievements

One tutor in The Patch noticed a big shift for Vien (Year 10): after initially struggling to write clear paragraphs, he could spot the difference in his second attempt and took pride in editing it himself.

In Year 8 maths, Daniel started out unsure of his times tables but now works through multiplication problems with only minimal prompting and is much quicker at recalling answers.

Meanwhile, during a recent Year 3 English session, Tanya—who was once hesitant—read aloud willingly and chatted comfortably about herself for the first time.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Oscar is finding the tutoring very helpful in realizing he is able to "do maths". He is feeling a lot more positive in general at this time and we hope that the gradual improvement he makes will continue to provide a source of self belief and positive thinking. He is very comfortable working with Kirsty and is keen to continue with her.

I initially chose to work for EzyMath tutoring so that I could earn some extra money while attending university. The company most appealed to me with its flexible hours, and a clear idea of letting the tutor be in control of his own work. You could work as many hours as you wanted, and truly develop a personal relationship with your clients. The weekly modules provided by EzyMath ensured that I myself developed and learned along the way. For me, the greatest accomplishment was the transition into a fully coordinated and confident tutor in a manner of weeks. EzyMath truly turned me into a successful tutor who had a great relationship with his students. It was especially amazing to see that the people I taught were even a little upset when I could no longer continue working. Overall, I definitely recommend working for the company to any people who want to mature into successful tutors. Any parents who want their children to learn in a friendly yet structured environment; as well as working with someone who they can truly rely on should definitely contact EzyMath tutoring! I'm very grateful for this experience and all you help. Good luck to the company for all of its future endeavours.

Things are going well. No issues and Jacob is going into class with more confidence.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Monbulk Reading Room—or at your child's school (with permission), like The Patch Primary School.
