Making an easy pathway of learning for students, helping them in planning and achieving the desired output.Students should enjoy the teaching of the tutor and tutor must be willing to provide practical example to the student for better understanding of the concepts while learning. Equip them with the tools they need to succeed. Most students do not achieve their full potential because they do not believe they have it in them. The most important thing a tutor can do is to help foster a love for learning and encourage a student to believe in themselves. If they believe in themselves, they can do anything. I am patient and…

A tutor's main job is to help re-explaining new concepts and/or help students consolidate new concepts as well as integrating new ones as they are being taught. Therefore, the most important things that a tutor can do for a student is to explain new concepts in simple and relatable terms, encourage interests in a particular subject and most…

I believe the most important thing which a tutor can do for a student is not only teach them what they need to know but teach them the skills which they need to succeed on their own. I believe this because although a tutor can help with their learning, they can't be there every single step of the way, especially after high school. These skills…

The important thing is to develop the student's ability to independently study. It is like that proverb 'Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.' There are going to be times where the student will find themselves in a position with an urgent question regarding their assignment which is…

Inside TranmereTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 5 student Sienna focused on simplifying fractions and exploring equivalent fractions, using visual models to reinforce understanding.

In Year 10, Nick worked through differential calculus problems, including optimisation scenarios and sign diagrams for first and second derivatives.

Meanwhile, Year 12 student Jessica tackled integral calculus by solving problems involving finding the area under a curve and also practiced interpreting results from statistics exam questions.

Recent Challenges

A Year 10 student working on algebra was encouraged to organise her written work more clearly, as scattered calculations made sign errors harder to spot—"she may also benefit from organising her working out more clearly to avoid confusion."

In Year 12 physics, a student struggled with drawing diagrams for kinematics questions and matching variables, which slowed progress during problem-solving.

Meanwhile, several senior students (Years 11–12) arrived at sessions without having completed assigned homework or revision tasks; one missed all set networks practice, leading to time being spent re-explaining concepts rather than building new skills.

Recent Achievements

One Tranmere tutor noticed a real shift with a Year 11 student who, after often guessing when stuck, has begun actively asking for clarification and working through mistakes out loud—this openness wasn't there just weeks ago.

In another high school session, a student who struggled to apply the sum and product rule in algebra was able to independently factorise several challenging problems without prompting.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner who previously rushed through addition and subtraction now takes time to check her answers, catching errors herself before moving on.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

We are very happy with the tutoring services we are receiving through your company and my daughters tutor, Alfred. Alfred has been very flexible in fitting in with Jayda's schedule and learning needs and we foresee a lengthy tutoring relationship.

Dania our tutor is a blessing! My daughter is able to open up to Dania and has managed to engage conversations/ relationship/ trust and so just after a few lessons she's now able to have a better understanding of maths concepts where as before she was really struggling to comprehend it. Although my daughter still has much more to learn I'm confident that Dania will be able to take her to the next level.

We had our 1st session tonight with David and it went really well. My son connected with him immediately even though he was nervous about tutoring and didn't really want to do it prior to tonight. After he had his session with David he said it was fun! I was pleasantly surprised to hear him say that and he asked that David come back next week instead of waiting a fortnight! We are very happy so far.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Campbelltown Public Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like St Joseph's School.
