What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe the best part about tutoring is the fundamental satisfaction that can be obtained from imparting knowledge onto younger students. Across all the students that I have taught since 2017, no student is the same. Each student has their base level of knowledge, their strengths and their speed of learning, and I find great enjoyment in getting to understand each student and figuring out the best way to give them their 'A-ha!' moment.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My biggest strengths as a tutor is proactive communication and patience when facing students. I wholeheartedly believe it is a tutor's duty to fill in the gaps in a student's knowledge of a subject and I fulfil that in my role by actively asking questions to the student inside and outside of lessons, and consistently interacting with students to keep their engagement up. I understand that students might find it difficult to speak up so I take a proactive stance to create a non-demanding environment where students can always ask about anything they need further explanation on.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Consolidating a strong foundational core understanding and building up a student's confidence is the most important thing I can do for a student. Through 1-on-1 classes, tutors should be fully committed to bolstering a student's understanding of a subject and ensuring that they are fully prepared to tackle any assessments they will have to do. I also strive to be a shining inspirational figure for students. Confidence is the key to guaranteeing students perform their best, and a tutor's positive reinforcement will have a lasting effect, setting kids up for future success.
