What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I find it gratifying to see how the people I assist get a light bulb moment when they work out things independently/with assistance. I think I'd find it most enjoyable to see the progress the students show in their learning and the goals they achieve.
I like working with children and want to see them do well, I also want to make the learning experience enjoyable. I love sharing knowledge on things that I'm passionate about because of how interesting the concepts are. I also love it when I can share this passion with others and see them overcome obstacles and grow in their learning journey.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I'm patient and easy to approach. I get along well with kids and can often make them laugh. I explain best when I use examples or drawing which often helps get the points across. I'm organised and manage my time well.
I'm very passionate about Science and Maths and did well in them during school. If I share this passion and enthusiasm with the students, it could motivate them to strive to do well in the subjects. I'll be able to explain concepts they don't understand while using examples, given that I am fairly knowledgeable in it and am willing to learn new things along with the student.
Most important things I can do for a student π
As a tutor, it's your job to adapt your way of teaching based on what works best for the student and use different approaches to explain a concept so the student understands it completely.
Encourage the students when they feel discouraged, praise them when it's earned and give them advice on where they can improve. You're essentially guiding them to do the best they can and support them.
Create a safe environment so the student feels at ease with seeking help and communicating with you. It's your job that their needs/requirements in their education are met.

Calculated the moles of the given components based on the given mass of reactants and volume of solution provided. Noted the stoichiometry between reactants and products. Was able to calculate and gather necessary information to find the unknown value, V.
Struggled to solve V of NaOH. Formula needed to use was Ca * Va = Cb * Vb. Moles were already provided for the acid from previous calculation, but did not reorganise formula to solve V of NaOH. To calculate V of NaOH, student needed to divide the concentration of NaOH with the mole of HCl, which would have given her the Volume of NaOH in L. Should have listed all information that she knew of each reactant and product based on what information was given to her, and what information she calculated. This way, it is easier to see which information she can use to solve the missing information
