What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to help someone achieve their potential, it is a very rewarding experience. Early in my academic career I found that talking to other peers, a teacher or even oneself deepens understanding. Sharing such learning strategies and witnessing their immediate impact is definitely a highlight of tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a currently enrolled mechanical/aerospace engineering student I excell at maths and physics. I have experience tutoring advanced senior maths. I am a confident and respectful tutor that understands the different challenges every student faces and how to overcome them. I have a passion for learning and love being given the opportunity to share this passion.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student is provide a supportive stress-free learning environment where the student can go through the material at their own pace. Understanding every student is different and accommodating for this is something I feel is very important for a tutor to do

Rurari demonstrated better understanding of the lesson material, he is beginning to build confidence and is actively engaging in lesson content by asking questions. He voices his thoughts and demonstrates improved note-taking skills.
Whilst showing more confidence, Rurari sometimes still struggles recalling certain content such as the Trigonometric exact values. With more time and practice however, Rurari will be able to improve his recall.

Rurari demonstrated improved understanding of the Unit Circle material and recalled a number of key concepts. He is now able to draw and label the Unit Circle from memory. Rurari was engaged and asked more questions to improve his understanding. Rurari also improved on his note taking by now labelling and titleing his notes.
Despite understanding the core concepts of the Unit Circle, Rurari still struggles recalling the exact values of basic trigonometric identities. This will come with time and practice as Rurari has the right attitude towards the material.

Rurari demonstrated understanding and quickly picked up the lesson content. He showed interest, asked questions and verbalised his thinking. Rurari also showed me his notebook which he had taken significantly more notes in.
Despite having significantly more notes than before, these notes lacked context and detail. Next lesson I will show Rurari how to more effectively take notes in class and provide him some basic note taking tips. Regarding the lesson material, Rurari needs to complete practice questions to further his understanding to make him feel more confident in his ability.

Rurari demonstrated a core understanding of most of the lesson material. He was engaged and actively participated in the lesson. He had made an effort to take more notes in class. Rurari quickly picked up ohm's law and equivalent resistance concepts.
I identified several knowledge gaps. These gaps mostly related to electrical engineering. I attempted to demonstrate how to find equivalent resistance. Whilst Rurari had a good attitude, he still needs practice before his exam. I assigned him a number of homework tasks to aid in his study and expand his learning.
