What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find immense joy in guiding and inspiring students on their educational journey. Witnessing that moment of understanding, when a challenging concept becomes clear, is incredibly fulfilling. I thrive on creating a positive and supportive learning environment, tailoring my approach to meet individual needs. It's not just about transferring knowledge; it's about fostering a passion for learning and empowering students to reach their full potential.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my key strengths as a tutor lies in my ability to adapt to different learning styles. I recognise that each student is unique, and I tailor my approach to accommodate diverse needs. Patience is another strong suit of mine - I understand that learning can be a gradual process, and I'm committed to providing the support needed for comprehensive understanding. Lastly, my passion for education is infectious; I strive to instil that enthusiasm in my students, making the learning experience not just effective but also enjoyable.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
In my perspective, the most important role of a tutor is to foster a deep understanding of the subject matter while nurturing a positive attitude towards learning. Building a strong foundation and instilling confidence in students are vital. Beyond that, effective communication and the ability to create a supportive learning environment are crucial. It's about going beyond the curriculum, understanding student's unique needs, and empowering them to become independent learners. Ultimately, a great tutor not only imparts knowledge but also ignites a lifelong love for learning in their students.

He proved to be quite proficient at his multiplication problems in his homework. He seems to have a good grasp on how to multiply larger numbers particularly improving in multiplying a single digit number by two digit numbers. He understands multiplication grids well but might need some help constructing them himself and remembering to do them. He finds counting with 5s, 10s, 50s, 100s to be easy and does them with only minor errors when not concentrating.
We only just begun with long multiplication and therefore it is a concept he needs more help with and practice. He did well with understanding the introduction to fractions but needs some more time spent on equivalent fractions.

He seemed to understand quite well how to identify from the circle the fraction and vice versa. His knowledge of fractions seems to be forming a good base. Even though he didn't like them as much, he seemed to quickly understand line representations of fractions.
He needs a little more help with comprehending the idea of mixed fractions and converting between them and improper fractions.
He seems to have grown in his understanding and is now quite good with long multiplication. He also has a great grasp on fractions now.

Quite successful in long addition Learnt that he is confident in his specific strategies to make multiplication easier with larger numbers e.g. Likes to double and halve the respective numbers to make it easier.
Long division needs work Multiplication grid purely for speed of multiplying larger numbers and then adding them Needs a little more encouragement on that it is easier to break up difficult larger multiplication into separate numbers and then add them together instead of trying to do it the hard way
