One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is build rapport with them and reassure them about their math concerns. This helps the tutor better understand the student's thinking and therefore reword themselves in a way that the student will better understand. I also believe that it is important for a tutor to first explain the concepts, demonstrate the concept with an example and then ask the students to try a question themselves, explaining their thought processes out loud. This makes the student more aware of the process and helps to identify incorrect thought processes.Tutoring students in π¦ π§

As previously stated, is highly recommended that Harris has a reader for his UNIT 3/4 exams as this was the primary reason for losing marks. Harris should look out for incorrectly entered data in his cas when entering big groups of data as answers will change. Harris should practice identifying variables as nominal, ordinal, discrete and continuous as he often gets confused. He should ensure he always shows working out, even in chapter exercises. He should also practice identifying the median, q1 and q3 from a stem and leaf plot or histogram as they can be difficult to identify. Harris should review measures of spread.

Harris needs to remember when to use finance solver vs when to use the normal CAS abilities like solve- finance solver is for compound interest not simple interest.
