What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I love the feeling of when I can help someone understand something that they have been struggling to understand and learn. Aiding and teaching people has always given me satisfaction and even though I haven't tutored people in a commercial tutoring environment each chance I have gotten to help people understand has given me joy knowing that they can be proud and confident in the things they learned. Tutoring and helping those around me is what made me realise my love of helping people and influenced me to go into an education course and made me want to become a teacher.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I'm very patient and will take the time to re-explain and re-teach concepts that people/ students don't understand. I also am very supportive and reassuring because I know the importance of having reassurance when learning new things so that people can have the confidence to attempt questions and not be afraid to ask questions and get questions wrong.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to understand the learning methods that are most suitable for the student. Each student learns differently and it's important to recognize that so that, what and how you teach is effective for that student. Along with being able to recognize a student's learning method, a tutor needs to be patient and empathetic to the student and build confidence.
