What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to help a person develop their knowledge and realise their true potential. I found it so rewarding being able to guide students through a peer tutoring program and see the confidence they build surrounding both school and personal challenges.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As I have personally received tutoring, I understand how to ensure the lessons are beneficial to the student. I have a strong drive to help people and I would apply this in tutoring through continual checkups throughout the week to make sure the lesson consolidates knowledge learnt in class and make practice questions for them to use.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe a tutor is not only a teacher but also a mentor. They are someone for the student to look up to, but also there to help the student develop their understanding through friendship and camaraderie. As they are separate from both school and home settings, they can offer an external and unique perspective on both academic and personal issues.
