What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is witnessing the moment when a student experiences the "click" moment - grasping a difficult concept as their confidence grows. It is very rewarding to see their progress over time and know that I have played a part in their academic journey. Additionally, I love the personal connections I build with students, understanding their unique perspectives, and adapting my approach to help them succeed.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength as a tutor lies in my ability to form lesson plans to meet individual student needs, ensuring they comprehend complex concepts with ease. My diverse cultural background and experience living in Australia, South Korea, and Japan enable me to connect with students from various backgrounds and understand their unique challenges. Additionally, my experience in high-pressure environments, such as working at KPMG and a restaurant, has improved my problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a calm, supportive presence that will be required for my students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider the most important things a tutor can do for a student to be providing personalised and adaptive learning strategies, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment, and helping the student develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Personalised strategies ensure that the learning process addresses the student's unique needs and strengths. A supportive environment boosts the student's confidence and motivation. Developing critical thinking skills prepares the student for future academic and life challenges, enabling them to become independent and effective learners.
