What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Every moment where a student realises a connection to something they previously learned which further empower their own development as critical thinkers. Regardless of the aptitude of students, there is always a fun way to engage and challenge their brilliant minds, such as making flashcards and inquiry based learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Optimism is my strongest quality as a tutor especially with my experience getting provided students who are not necessarily performing academically. There is always a way to get their chin up high and rebuild their confidence in their sense of "imposter syndrome," as they learn more difficult content. In addition, I have a drawing tablet which I have learned to skillfully use, making easier to annotate pdfs and work on a digital whiteboard which can be uploaded to students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Reinforcment and feedback holds highest credence as an educator. Someone who is a good tutor regardless of subject is able to touch people who are unlike them. It takes a degree of empathy to step into the mindset of other students and apply positive reinforcement to their efforts. This not only creates a strong relationship with the student's own satisfaction in learning, but sustains them as an individual that wants to come back for your service and learn more content with you.
