What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy building relationships with my students and seeing them grow and progress over time. It's very rewarding to see students grasp a concept they previously struggled with and watch their confidence grow as they master new material. Tutoring is also a satisfying job knowing my teaching and guidance positively impacts someone's education.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my key strengths as a tutor is adaptability. I can personalise my teaching to suit the student's learning styles and needs. Whether they require a detailed explanation or additional examples, I believe I can tailor myself to best support their understanding.
Patience is another strength that I bring to tutoring. I can explain concepts as many times as necessary without becoming tired or frustrated. I want what is best for my student so this ensures they can learn at their own pace without feeling pressured or rushed.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment is very important to ensure students learn to their fullest capacity. Being open allows students to express their concerns and ask questions, and allows tutors to help clarify concepts. This also boosts confidence and self-esteem and makes learning enjoyable for students.

Tyler is solidifying his knowledge of interquartile range by working on more problem questions, and is slowly but surely getting the hang of it. His understanding of algebra also went smoothly and his efforts in solving problem questions shows he is mastering the foundations of algebra.
I recommend Tyler to continue practise setting out his working out, step by step, in finding the IQR. Since algebra is a fairly new topic for him, I would also recommend for him to neatly set out his working out when solving questions so he can refer back to them if revision is needed.

Tyler had previous knowledge of the mean, median, mode, and range concepts in data and skilfully utilised each method when answering problem questions. He was also quick to understand the concept of interquartile range.
To further Tyler's understanding of interquartile range and the purpose of this data topic, he should practise more problem questions to master this skill. He should also attempt to understand the practicalities of survey and sampling to explore different techniques for collecting data.

Tyler is building a clear understanding of fractions and is slowly applying the necessary approaches to answer questions. He applied his knowledge to probability questions well. He also worked comfortably with setting out frequency tables and stem and leaf plots within the data topic.
Tyler should work on prime factorisation to quickly find the LCM of the denominator when arithmetically solving fractions with different denominators. For data, he should dissect the question deeper and make use of his notebook e.g. writing down the scores to ensure he doesn't miss out a number.

Tyler has a strong foundation in basic arithmetics that helps him in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. He was able to apply these skills in worded problem questions and apply fractions in real world scenarios.
Tyler should focus on setting his working out into clear step by step lines. This will ensure he understands the process to how he got the answer and find silly mistakes, if any.
