What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student's confidence grow as they begin to understand more about a subject which they initially thought was confusing. I also enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simpler, easier to understand chunks and tailor it to fit how each student learns best because every student learns differently (e.g. do problems, explanation, look at examples). Tutoring also allows me to share my passion for learning( especially in subjects like math's) in order to help students not just perform better academically but feel more capable in tackling any problem.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my key strengths as a tutor is my ability to explain complex ideas in a clear concise way and because every student learns differently, I adjust my teaching style depending on what makes them learn the most optimal by either using visuals, real life examples or different problem-solving methods. Because I have gotten 2 proficiency awards from the math's competition, 40 study score for maths methods and 41 study score for specialist maths, I bring a strong understanding of the subject and I always focus on identifying where the student is at and guiding them along their academic path.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is to build a students confidence because your mentality is extremely important when learning new things. I also feel creating a safe place where they feel comfortable and are comfortable asking questions and being able to make mistakes is also integral to their growth. A tutor should not only help a student understand the content, but also help them develop strong problem solving skills and independent thinking. Its about guiding them, not just giving them answers so they become more confident and capable learners in the long run.

We were able to make notes for that chapter, so he was able to understand the content that chapter better and made sure he knew the cas commands for that chapter and when he knows the information he is able to answer the question quickly and really well.
For now, he should focus on organising his notes, as he currently has two different sets from different schools. Creating his own clear and consistent set of notes will help avoid confusion and make it easier to revise effectively.
